I'm a farm girl, so I've seen lots of farm animals mate. I've also seen lots of documentaries and seen creatures like Chimps, tigers, whales, etc etc doing it. There never seems to be a lot of foreplay, if any, and the whole act takes only a few seconds. I guess some human males are like this, too, but generally the sex act is a sweaty ordeal for humans. (don't you just love that aroma?) Other female mammals are sexually receptive only on certain pre-determined schedules whereas the human female is ready at the tip of a hat. I don't know for sure, but I don't think other mammals menstruate. Why are humans so different?
we are not all that different. your post shows that your like most people. you see but, you don't observe. when you learn to quit seeing and, learn how to observe you will understand that some of the other spicies of mammals are quite human in their sexuality.
Sexuality of the bonobos is a lot closer to humans than chimps or other animals, its a higher order thing, dolphins are also very different to other animals It is interesting how environment determines the difference between bonobos and chimps, chimps are more nomadic, bonobos pretty much static, confined to a small part of south central africa, thus more social. Humans arent really all that different, there are plenty of species more monogamous, and some species that are more sexually active throughout the year. Or maybe more simply put, the smarter a species gets, the less dependant on seasonal changes it becomes
my dogs all menstruate, they are mammals. I'm not sure if we are really that different. I think our brains are developed more and on account of this human beings realize the pleasure of sex. Smarter mammals do, also. But when you look at the black and white facts, remember what you have said- there's things like a 'smell' that make a person more receptive to sex. It's meant to attract other mates for reproduction (no one has pheromones because they are good looking or not), and there's also body shape too isn't it said that men like curvy hips because of a woman's baby carrying potential? This sounds as primitive as I could imagine.
Female dogs definitely menstruate... Menstruation happens way less frequently with most animals so you probably may not notice. As VG stated dolphins and bonobos have sex for pleasure and penguins even have prostitute female penguins that will do sexual favors for like stones or something.
Nothing funnier than a menstruating Chihuahua wearing a homemade diaper because mom didn't want it messing up the furniture.
my dog has definitely left little blood spots on my bed when she was in heat. ew. but all female animals come into heat, which is basically menstruation. also, if you youtube, you'll find videos of monkeys and apes masturbating.
like the examples you got? i knew a lot of people would give you more examples then i alone could off the top of my head. as for you being a "farm girl," i'm a "simi-farm boy." i spent a lot of time on my grandparent's farm. this is the reason why i brought up the difference between just "seeing" and "observing." the other farm kids i hung around with growing up, did not pick up on the supple behavioral stuff i precived with animals and people. farm adults did not precive this kind of stuff either. preciving things that others did not got me a reputation as a "weirdo." when i got to college, one of my two majors was psychology. for the first time in my life i was around people, who experence the world quite simulator as i do. for the first time in my life i went from being a "freak" to being "normal." also in college i ment up with other people who were raised on farms, who precivied like i did that were considerd "strange" just like i was. all of us majoried in fields like the humanties and sciences. both of those areas are fill with "freaky" people. from your opening post i took that your one of the type of people who precive at an overt level. i precive the overt level too. yet, for me it is not my primary way of preciving. anyway, back to sexuality. female mammals don't go through menses? have you ever had to live with a female (queen) house cat that has not been de-sexed? live one time through that just with a queen in menses and, you will know for a fact that other female mammals do menstruate! :willy_nilly:
I bit the farm girl once on the finger.. now im in love with her, she taste like peanuts.. wanna cuddle?...
I think humans are very much like mammals within sex. When a male human and a female human is horny.. I doubt theres foreplay at all, they just want to reproduce (pleasure for us)- which is the reason for mammals mating to reproduce when their most attrative, not sexual pleasure. Think about it, when your most likly ovulating you're most horny.
