All my friends have a rule that you can't talk about tripping or how much you are tripping while you are tripping. I follow it just because I don't want to ruin their trip and also they are the dosers, but sometimes it just seems like it would be a fun topic of discussion.

Is this a normal custom or something?

I think my friends are pretentious trippers and probably figure it's assumed that everyone is tripping balls so no reason to use time talking about that, and they should use the time to do something more valuable on the trip or some similar reasoning to that

Hmmm, I'm not sure I get exactly what you mean.

Rarely do I ever say IM TRIPPIN BAWLS MAN

But I do often try to relate visuals or physical/mental effects that are happening. I'll even let out an acknowledgement of astonishment on a good trip.

What do your friends do like discuss Glenn Beck and Nancy Grace while tripping?

talk about the music we are listening to (festies) or just talking about nature or wherever. I'm not used to tripping with people that don't like talking about tripping, but I guess I can't complain b/c all I was doing was mushrooms before I met these friends though and they were sharing a bottle of sweet breath with me and asking for nothing in return
