But still, The China Syndrome was kind of prophetic, since it was released 12 days before this happened: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Mile_Island_accident Maybe Jane Fonda and Jack Lemmon did scare those technicians there so much that they replayed the loss-of-coolant accident almost by the book. Oh, and The Core is at least the second movie ever to use Unobtainium as a technical term... so it's at least funny in this respect. Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
Oh, and I must add the "new" version of Clash of the Titans to this list (I think I already did so, but this graph reminded me of doing so again: :smilielol5: Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~
As described in the movie the term is purely theoretical because once the core reaches ground water it will explode sending plumes of radioactivity for miles in every direction, and if you happen to live downwind you’re basically fucked BTW I live 10 miles north of Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant so as I drive past each day it makes it seem even more real :hide: Hotwater
Agreeing with Clash of Titans and new Nightmare on Elm Street. Both were completely boring! I'd have to say Dark Ride is the worst movie I've ever seen. If none have you have ever heard of it, good, STAY THE FUCK AWAY.
Dodgeball Click Lethal Weapon 3 Funny People (I had to turn it off 1/3 of the way through) Up (to be fair, the beginning was good but after that it went all down hill from there) 3 ninjas Austin Powers 3 Any Disney teen flick. Hell I hated those when I was 13. Final Destination 2 Porky's Howard the Duck Date Movie Any cliche sport movie where the outcome is very predictable and the main characters' team always wins the championship at the end on the last second of the timer.
Dark Ride the horror movie from the Afterdark series!?!? I freakin LOVE that movie. But I'm partial to cheesey horror flicks. =D
Last night on Elvira's Movie Macabre she had "Scared to Death" BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDD movie! The story only sorta made sense, the acting was wretched, and the writing/directing was high schoolish...argh Was worth watching the whole thing to see Elvira make fun of Sarah Palin though! peace Delfynasa
There is a movie out in theaters called "Skyline". It's another alien invasion movie. What saves the movie is how terrible it is. The acting, the story, the actions of the characters....all hilarious. I see it as eight bucks well spent with friends.
Yeah, that may be why I had a hard time deciding if I liked the movie or not. Shale's Blurb on Skyline http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=413192&f=287
Giant Shark vs Mega Octopus, to be fair though, because it's that bad, it's quite entertaining https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skYRZ_-RXtk"]YouTube - Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus - Plane Attack!?
Another cheesey and extremely gory horror flick I loved... Wrong Turn 3 trumps Wrong Turn 2 in levels of awfulness.
monsturd. a giant shit monster is living in the sewers under a city. it pulls people down through their toilets and eats them! it does for toilets what psycho did for showers, or what jaws did for swimming.:cheers2:
Hmm... Many of the "horror" movies found in Redbox currently. Metamorphosis w/ Christopher Lambert was disgustingly, offensively terrible. Necromentia was only slightly better, but that's like saying a floating turd is better than wet, sloppy mudbutt But hands down the new Vinnie Jones flick "Locked Down" takes the prize as the worst movie I've ever seen. I was brain damaged by the time it was over
Pulp Fiction, directed by Quentin Tarantino. It made quite a few dollars using very little except graphic violence. I walked out halfway through.
^ it also used a very amazing soundtrack and offbeat dialogue (especially for a crime film). I think it used other gimmicks much more than violence. Non-linear cut up, unrevealed plot elements, swearing. The poor use of 'pulp' style really annoys me about the film though.
My roommate just forced me to watch Vampires Suck... which I whole heartedly vote into the worst movies ever made.
