premonition come seconds before they happen

SO I have ALWAYS had premonitions, they come very spontaneously and always seconds before something happens...as an example, last night just before a curve my "inner" voice said to watch for the deer, I start to slow and sure enough, 3 were at the side of the road....others are a obscure song I think I haven't heard in forever and sure enough it will come on. These are just a few of the off the wall MANY that come randomly.
I have had a few that were more disturbing, like getting ready to go to the store or something with someone else driving and get that "feeling" or see us in a wreck and won't ride with them...yet, nothing happens..
SO, how do I tap into it and stop the more obscure ones, like a song and focus on the important ones? I did notice I get them more when I am tired, or stressed/ on the edge. This has been going on my whole life {I'm 41} and was also told by a few "psychics" I had very strong energy and ability..not sure if I fall for that or not..I question everything lol

 

I was sitting at the edge of a tunnel on red, making a left. when I seen the right lane making wide turns.. I said to myself someone is going to get clipped here any minute.. and sure enough car making left into tunnel hits cars making right out of tunnel.. This though is nothing but pure observations. I could say back road to my house we'll hit deers at dusk 120% accurate..

Songs often play cause thats the station youre listening to: I would bet that I could think of a moment. Go out to the car turn on FM and there will be something related to the thought..

Though if you pay attention to them enough, they will get closer and closer together.. Youll either go insane trying to figure it out.. or enjoy them (shout cheers to yourself) man that was so awesome.. I was just thinking that... Id prefer the latter..

 

I've always gotten these I also have really crazy flashbacks where I can taste things that I'm not eating now but have eaten before extremely vividly and the same goes for smells

I agree. Focus and intent help. The more you look, the more you see. But really, like Orison says, you could go insane trying to figure it out. I think we each have a certain affinity for a certain type of experience - premonitions included - kind of like some people have an affinity for art, others for music, some for both, and some for neither. We need to go with what we're given, and see where it takes us.

 

Hi. Ok these visions are due to your current need; should you move to an area that have no deer it may shift to some other gift or focus. The trick with any ability is control. do you ever get any premonitions wrong? for example i get a premonition every time im about to sit on my couch that tells me to watch out for the dog. but sometimes the dog is not there. but sometime it is.

 

Well the hardest thing to learn is how to interpret what you see. I would think that going to sit on the sofa is a normal and regular event;this would sort of be like revisiting the emotion attached to the original event. ( Frequently if you burn something in the kitchen and return later you can still smell it.) Please understand the information is never wrong just our interpretation of it. These visions can be a few seconds away or weeks or months in the future. Most of my visions occur within three days. BB Mike

 

Cool thread, I've had those same synchronicity experiences, on an undeniable level. Are we psychic? Probably not, it's probably a skill, but then again, everyone isn't created the same. Could just be a trick of perception.

 

Hi. I believe we all are psychic to one degree or another, but like anything else if one wants their abilities to be more than chaotic at best they have to be worked with. Its sort of like going to the gym,once you stop its all down hill. Most people do not have the desire to properly pursuit their gifts; the other problem is they get the wrong kind of teacher who is more interested in filling their wallet instead of guiding their student. I would guess the number of teachers that fit this category being conservative is probably around 90% BB Mike

 

And what role do you think this capacity have for relationships, romance, love...sex? Are "premonitions" really just projections in such cases? Or are people really thrown our way? Could this mean there is true love? What do you think?

 

Good question. Well visions are very brief glimpses of future or past events that occur in their natural order. A projection is a person sending energy usually to alter a natural chain of events for what they perceive to be a more favorable outcome. So no I dont think visions are projections because the person receiving the vision cant choose what they see. Visions occur so quickly that at times they are long over while you are still trying to figure out what you have just seen. Its sort of like driving through the country with the radio on a blank station, every now and then a station will come through very clearly and just as suddenly as it comes in its gone; but you cant control what will come through. With visions I cant tell the difference between what has occurred three days ago or what will happen three days from now. I will frequently check the news before posting a vision on my site so I am not reporting what the world already knows. The other down side to visions is they can also cause the person in question tremendous guilt. BB Mike

 

yeah i would think most visions occur eventually. with that logic i could make completely random predictions that will eventually occur.

also, i dont think our premonitions are diffrent at all. you were revisiting an emotion attached to an oritional event werent you? ( you drive the same way home everyday maybe? maybe you've seen deer around the area before? just like ive accidently sat on my dog before.)
i dont think this has anything to do with psychic powers and, as you suggested, this behavior can be easily explained by selective reinforcement.

 

So... they can't really be related to love and meeting people? My questions still stand....

Is there true love from visions? Or is it all just a boring conscious choice because we'd rather have someone around than be alone?

 

i dont really understand your question, can you fall in love with your vision? seems kinda silly. the latter makes more sense since life is more pleasurable that way.

 

No.... Obviously your mind doesn't make sense. Read the top of this page. And no life is not more pleasurable because it is boring. That is what makes no sense... it is far more intriguing and honest that we realize we are all connected at a deep level of existence.

well i dont wanna toot my own horn but im pretty experienced myself!

but seriously, i think everyone's definition of true love is a little diffrent, and i dont think that there is just one person in this world for you, that just doesnt make sense to me. if we are all connected then you should be able to find true love with more then one person.

and i think everyone would agree that life is just more pleasurable with a partner, its just our nature.

 

Visions can be of current events as well as past or future. For example I once had a detailed vision of my future wife as she sat at her computer keyboard 2000 miles away from me, reading an email I had just sent her. I had never seen a photo of her and had no description of her except that she had long hair, but my vision showed me what she looked like in detail.

 

I'm not sure I believe in "true love"...but I do believe that we're channeled toward certain people by psychic/spiritual forces. It may be that any of a number of people will do just as well, but it seems to me, from my experience, that we tend to attract a certain type of person - or no person - at any particular time in our lives based on our spiritual needs at that time. Whether we get a "vision" of that person probably depends on whether getting visions is something that is relevant to our experience at that point - or acts as a hook to pull us in a certain direction.

 

visions could also be completely random and meaningless.
