have you ever seen the movie: supersize me. I heard it's really grose and many people have stopped going to burger king and mcdonalds... Some people have changed their whole outlook on life over this movie... I havent seen it but my mom has...
I saw it. I don't know that I would call it "gross", but it was definitely eye opening. I never was one for fast food, but if I were that movie would have stopped me from eating it. Corporate McDonalds refers to their frequent customers as "heavy users", that should tell us something.
If you eat only cordon bleu food for a month it would do you no good..this film did not realy prove anything at all. If your thick enough to eat fast food all the time and nothing else...you deserve to have a major obesity problem or have a premature heart attack.. it is called being a greedy bastard.. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9777&highlight=supersize
^ While I do agree with you, everything in moderation... A month of veggies would be better for you than a month of fast food. I'm sure you get my point.....
well, regardless of fast-food opinion, i thought the documentary was well done and very entertaining...
I think it's bad propaganda. Of course it's gross to eat at McDonalds everyday, I could tell before they even planned to film this movie. Everyone is so hysterical, no need to: Mc Donalds rocks! So does Burger King.
Its not gonna stop me from eating there...I acctually only eat there usually after a day of hard hiking (well is actually fishing but i hikje more than fish on these trips), and occasiolally.... It was well done, bu i think some people are confused like some were with Bowling for Columbine...this is not a mcdonlads causes bad stuff to happen...Its a why does society not see this, why are we lettng ourselves do this to us.....
I disagree actually! A month of fast food is far healthier. As disgusting as you may think it is, eating, say, McDonalds still gives you some fruit/veges (lettuce, tomato), carbohydrates in the bread and protein in the meat. Add the copious doses of fat and you've got 4/5 food groups. Go figure. Eating veges for a month, unless you eat a LOT (3.5kg of spinach has the same amounf of iron as 100g lean beef) and are extremely specific and knowledgeable, you won't do so well- you lose protein, carbo's, calcium... all essential for a healthy diet. I haven't seen supersize me, but I mainly don't eat much fast food because of pricks like McDonalds destroying the rainforest and generally being totally wasteful. Also, it disturbs me that noone in the entire place can tell me the ingredients of their soft serve; and my friend worked there and told me they make OJ fortnightly in a bucket which they don't even rinse out first. uck.
I can't believe I wasted my time to watch this movie. I don't need someone to tell me if I eat to much food I'll become overweight. It's also a very bad satire.
If you don't like fast food try slow food ...yawn http://www.slowfood.com/eng/sf_stampa/sf_stampa_arch_rass_int.lasso
I agree with you 100%. The thing about this movie is not only that it really failed to represent reality (I mean, how many people REALLY eat to the point of vomiting?), but it was really boring. While he makes some interesting points about overall obesity in America, the director was too busy pointing fingers at people to make a reasonable film. I'm not a fan at all.
I saw the movie and it was fantastic. I thought the way they protrayed certain things was decieving but in the same respect very phenomenal.
