I know some birds can talk, but this really creeps me out. Edit: Thanks for your post Lynn (below). I should of researched this before posting it. Oh well, it's still creepy (to me anyway) that a wild bird can talk so well. The guy must have been feeding it some tasty crackers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbO0Dm3f_hY&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube - Ravenmania Part One https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTDn2FMg0J8&feature=related"]YouTube - Ravenmania Part Two https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIX_6TBeph0&feature=related"]YouTube - Ravenmania - Nevermore!
Not to be all jaded; but do you know of the show, "Little House on the Prairie"...even they had a talking raven on it. Talking ravens are not unheard of - especially at one time...before importing birds from the Congo or Brazil or where ever became the thing to do.
You are right though, Justin - wild birds being able to talk - like even parrots, which ARE wild where they come from...are kinda creepy.
I love those ravens ! I once had a jackdaw which is the smaller cousin of raven, found him as a nestling. He lived with me for one summer, then flew away with his own kin. We'd go for bicycle rides where he sat on my shoulder, or right on the handlebars. He just started to talk - in the morning he'd fly up on top of the roof, sit on the antenna (we lived in a 5-stored city house back then) and call 'corax, corax' (his name) ... good times. Btw i moved the thread over to Pets and Animals, hope this is ok for you Justin.
