i dont know anyone called either of those names. But i'm not in the U.S . i know of a couple of Jessicas. but i dont actually know them.
Parents see the naming of their child as a way to express who they are. It says a lot about yourself depending on what sort of name you deem fit to give to another person. Thing about that is parents coming from the same generation tend to express themselves in the same manner and have a similar sense of aesthetics, so you ironically end up with millions of people having the same very cliched names.
Hey......What's Up With The Name Justin, Buddy, I'm Sitting Here Typing With A Ginger And White Paw Resting On My Shoulder, Just So Happens That Paw Belongs To My Eight Year Old Pussie Whom I Named Justin.. He's Looking Rather Angry After Reading Your Post, But When I Explained It Was Posted By Shaggie He Understood The Problem.... Cheers Glen.
I know quite a few jessicas, but no justins. I dont really like either name much , well for naming my own children I guess. I dont think it is a ugly name, just very common. My name is rare, especially the way I spell it.
That's an interesting fact. One of my daughter's name is Jessica and her boyfriend's name is Justin. Never gave it much of a thought.

i've known several of each. my name was apparently the 14th most popular in the year i was born. it feels like there's more of us than that. there's been at least one dave in almost every pizza place i've ever worked in, plus a dave interviewed me for the pizza job i turned down. something with daves and pizza, i dunno. at one point, i had a 10 person crew and 3 of us were named brian. i had to let one brian go, and the next person i hired was named brian.
Names do seem to go in trends and cycles. The name I originally wanted for my son was Kyle. At the time I had only heard it a few times. By the time he was born it seemed like every second boy was being called Kyle. So I did not end up using that name.
