    It doesn't appear to work.

The first time I tried texting someone, and I just couldn't get the phone to work the screen kept going all blurry and the buttons wouldn't work.

Then, last night I got stuck in Cumnock at 3am and I lost my mate, and we had to get back to Dumfries, I tried texting him and I left a message on his voice mail but I couldn't for the life of me get a hold of him!

It's weird, maybe in dreams you are trying to contact the real life person instead of the dream person and that is why it doesn't work?

Anyway, on a serious note maybe this is like one of those indicators you get in dreams that trigger lucid dreaming? Like the next time it happens I'm probably going to think, hey I can't be THAT unpopular! I MUST be dreaming... wahay let's fly through the air and then start imagining naked ladies...

it's not impossible. part of your subconscious nightmare was prolly struggling to get a hold of a friend/someone.

perhaps trying and succeeding in a text message or phone call can be a lucid dream challenge! ;]

    Have you ever done it?

This is only the second time I have ever tried.

It's like light switches, have you ever tried turning a light on, or off in a dream? It doesn't work! It's a well known indicator that can often trigger lucid dreaming.

Try looking at a clock if you think you are lucid dreaming. If it is regular analog clock take note of the time and look away for just a second, then look at the clock face again. The time will have changed. This actually works and I know because I tried it.

Also I heard that if you look at a digital clock in a dream the numbers will be all jumbled.

Guns won't fire in a dream for me either. :(

In my dreams sometimes I can't open my eyes all the way and it's really hard to see. Or I stare at the floor and can't look up. Sometimes when I'm in a lucid dream, if I try something too big it gets all fuzzy like a TV screen and I wake up. When it gets fuzzy and I stop trying to do whatever I'm always in a different area. Strange huh? My abilities in dreams are always different. Sometimes I can teleport to places with the people I want there or make things appear in rooms I go to. Other times, I can barely pull of party tricks. You can do a lot with your lucid dreams especially if you meditate before sleep or try and go astral. I've tried to predict the future once and I was just outside somewhere and my three friends were there right? And I asked them questions and they told me to write down what was going to happen and it all actually came true. I also met John Lennon once. Fun stuff.

i really don't think i've ever had a dream that involved a phone in any form.

if you do trigger a lucid dream that way, you should take advantage and give god a ring.

    Holy shit!

You just reminded me that I had a dream last night where I met John Lennon, or he was in my dream in some capacity... weird, eh? I can't remember what exactly, but he definitely featured, I think...

I also had a dream that I was having sex with Cheryl Cole, and while I was getting it on with her I was thinking "wow I'm actually having sex with Cheryl Cole! I can't wait to tell all my mates about this!"

Then I thought to myself, wait a minute... this can't be true, can it? I must be dreaming... but it wasn't enough to trigger off lucid dreaming.

I also like to experiment with this by using cannabis and I find not wanking for weeks or months can bring on all sorts of weird shit. I think smoking cannabis makes you sleep deeper. I also think abstaining from wanking helps you to sleep deeper.

Cars don't work in dreams for me, the brakes never work...

Also, I have dreams I am back in high school and can't find my locker and don't know my schedule.

Sometimes I also have the teeth falling out dreams, too.

I can't punch people in dreams either, but I rarely notice because I also can't punch people in real life as well. Sometimes I wish I could.

That happens to me a lot too! Like, it slows down when it's about to hit them and they look at me as if I'm insane. That always pisses me off.

My wet dreams are often more intense and interesting than the times I get real sex.
