TSA Patdowns...coming to a Greyhound station near you!

That's right, they're going to start putting them at the bus station now.
People said "You don't have to fly, just take the bus." Now they'll say "You don't have to take the bus, just take a train." Then it will be "Well, you could always drive."
And then what?

the one time i took a greyhound bus, i sat next to this giant dude with a pot leaf shirt, clutching a dufflebag that absolutely REEKED. I was tempted to ask him if I could buy some off of him, but I thought it might not be the best idea.

pretty soon though, they'll have TSA stops on interstates - have everyone get out of their cars and pat them down, search their cars. and then there will be TSA on sidewalks.

they are slowly getting the American people to accept a major loss in privacy and a steady increase in 'big brothers' presence.
i would love to see statistics on the total amount of government law enforcement agents + tsa officers + military personnel against the amount of US citizens that are none of the above.

 

I used to live in a border town in Texas. When I drove north, there was a check point and I had to talk to border patrol, let him check out my car, etc.
Note: I did not cross the US border. The checkpoint was well inside the US and I lived in the US.

If this is legal, then they can put a ring of check points around every major airport and start expanding the search operations from there.

Probable cause? Just the fact that you are on a public road.

 

court cases = $$$
people being put in jail = $$$
having peoples names in the system = future $$$$$$, because repeat offenders get bigger sentencing. it's also provides more 'probable cause' to search a person when they have a criminal record.

It's also another way of control. If you go to jail, they have your name, your residence, contacts that would know where you are, your fingerprints, your mugshot, and scans of your iris. Not to mention an assigned probation/parole officer that will be your personal supervisor - OF YOUR LIFE.

It's creepy knowing that if you get picked up for marijuana possession (like I was), that it can lead to such extreme ability for your life to be absolutely dominated.
