I decided to post this on the Hippie board because many have chatted about Animal rights and all that. I saw a local story about children being left in foster homes. There was a little boy who was left with a 22 year old foster mother and her live in 19 year old boyfriend (keep in mind DCYF was aware of her living situation) The little boy who was 4 was beaten to death, Why? he took food out of the 'fridge without asking!
They did an investigation according to DCYF this is not so unusual. Many foster parents are in it for an extra check not caring for the childs welfare. It's normal for children to be abused and die in foster care? I DON"T THINK SO!!!!!
Here is my question. How about people protesting the cruelty to children? defenseless children. Start with the "meat Market" DCYF.
Sorry but stuff like this, turns my stomach.
    How anyone could do this.

omg that's so sad. how terrible for that little boy. i cant imagine how someone could be messed up enough to do that to another human being, especially a little defenseless person.

i've always wanted to be a foster mom. i'd be one of the fun, fair, loving foster moms though, not one of the sick, twisted, in it for the money, abusive types.

HUH? He was 4 years old he was no doubt hungry!
Are you trying to justify beating him to death?

He probably thought this may be my family so I can enjoy the safety and comfort of a home so he had something to eat.

Humans act like animals... probably because they are animals... animals who think they're civil which, in reality, is quite the opposite of what they think. :)

Because there is so much talk of animal rights here and you find out that defenseless children are being abused and killed and the authorities are aware of it.
Seems like no one cares. When I hear of children or elderly people being abused I see red!

Then you should! We need more people who not only create a shelter but a warm and loving home for these children whe who brought into this world and tossed aside.

Yeah, I used to volunteer in nursing homes and hospitals. There's certain nurses like that. Actually, the patients always request the same nurse(s), usually. There was a woman who refused to bathe for three days because my mom was on vacation.

foster care is the biggest joke of all time - there is an unbelievable amount of hidden abuse going on there.
