i saw it before. and i orgasmed.

i love robert rodriquez. well i like planet terror but until that movie, he hasnt really made a stand alone movie yet. this, along with the big cast is gonna be awesome. a parrallel artist to tarantino. (even though tarantino is just superior). i'm fuckin stoked

Got a chuckle out of "Introducing Don Johnson" I guess he's been out of the game so long they have to introduce him to a new generation. Don't they have Miami Vice reruns on somewhere in the world?

Interesting looking. Will have to check it out, especially after this guys recommendation;:smilielol5:

Yeah and Linsey Lohan and Jessica Alba Naked were also worth the price of admission. At the end I just wanted to shoot my pistolas in the air. I can't wait for the Unrated directors cut.

    Peace Out,

This movie was about as badass as you'd think it'd be  :D

one of the best scenes is in the beginning, when he's killing all these dudes in a house with a machete, picks up a gun off a dead guy, shoots another guy, stops what he's doing, looks at both his hands, one holding a gun, the other a machete, thinks for a second, tosses the gun, continues.

I loved the Bare Knuckle scene where he never throws a punch and still wins the fight.

You know when it hits DVD it will be Unrated with a bunch of shit that had to be cut for theatrical release. That shit is going to be hard core.

    Peace Out,

I liked some of the satire and political humor.

The "Mexploitation" element of it, and all (looooveeee blaxploitation)

But the action didn't do it for me. Action is probably one of my pickiest genres though.

There you go again, using that 'flop' word. =/ This movie did not flop. 'Flop' is a term that is applied to a film that doesn't make it's money back.

And who cares if a movie didn't make it's money?

Grindhouse flopped, and that movie's fucking great.

    Very, very true! :mickey:

This isn't the first film this guy has incorrectly referred to as a flop, though.

I'm guessing the whole Grindhouse thing flopped because people didn't want to be in the theater for so long... Individual DVD sales went very well though!

I dunno, I had a ticket for a prescreening, and most of the people didn't seem to get it. There was very little laughter at some of the funniest parts, and quite a few left the film before even Planet Terror was over.

that is too bad. when i saw it at the theater it was the opposite - there was tons of laughter and a really rowdy and loud crowd! perfect audience!
i think it's a cool movie to hang out with your buds and watch... crack some beers and laugh and play air guitar.

i thought the first few minutes of Machete were perfect, but then it definitely looses some steam in the rest of the movie....
