email notification yahoo toolbar

anyone here use the yahoo toolbar?...I had yahoo messenger then deleted it and I miss the way it would make it a noise when I got an email and I could hear it when I was near the computer....now with just toolbar I have to keep checking

does anyone know how to get some kind of audible alert with just the toolbar?...without having to reinstall the messenger...the messenger was annoying just for that one feature I liked

 

I use yahoo mail., and I just leave a browser open on it and minimize it - down in the taskbar it shows (0 unread) and when it is more than zero I know there is new mail.

So I don't have to keep checking it - I just spot the number on the taskbar every so often.

I know you asked about an audible alert - but I mention this way to keep tabs in case it might work for you...

I cant seem to use gmail to log in 10ozprophet,, pissing me off to no end,.. but I dont post there anyways... would like to comment on work though and load my own graffiti pics....

 

i use gmail as my main email and i got the notifier that does the wee pop up and sound, i don't know about yahoo but maybe if you had an email client such as mozilla thunderbird it may have notifier options i know microsofts outlook express does it.
