Mercury pollution is turning the white ibis gay. A five year study by the University of Florida on the mating habits of the white ibis has concluded that depressed testosterone levels due to the mercury poisoning is responsible for declining birth rates and homosexual behavior in the birds. The scientist says that of all the birds he studied in places where there is no mercury pollution, none exhibited homosexual behaviors.
