Do any of you premake the mixture in bulk? I'm getting ready for a a lot of crazy travel and instead of an arm and hammer box and plastic bowl I'd like to make the mixture and put it in a spray bottle to keep for a month or so- no problems with that right?
i just keep an empty shampoo bottle and the box of baking soda.. when i'm gonna wash my hair i pour a little into the bottle and then add water while i'm in the shower and dump it over my head. works a treat, and it'll work great for traveling too.
I've only ever been called Cammy by my old manager at work, but she was cool. So :2thumbsup: for you!
i do the same. when i'm about to take a shower i turn the bath water on hot first so it's warming up, put some baking soda, bit of sea salt, and a couple drops of tea tree oil into a bottle, fill it with hot water, then shake it up and commence showering. takes about 1 minute to make, no need to do it in bulk.
hmmm thanks guys. But I'll be traveling with only one pack for a month so I think I'll try to mix it up beforehand in a small bottle to save space and if that doesnt work out, I'll be using water only.
how would that save space? you use like a shampoo bottle's worth each time you want to wash your hair. so unless you're only washing once during the whole month it would be more efficient to just bring an empty bottle you can fill, and some baking soda. that way you can make more as often as necessary.
you need to mix it on the spot, or else it wont be fizzling when you're scrubbing your head preparing it in bulk and letting it stop fizzling defeats the purpose I think
This Raises An Interesting Point, Do The Millions Of Tiny Bubbles Do The Work, Or Do The Chemicals..?? Methinks A Combination Of The Two...:2thumbsup:. If You Pre Prepare The Mix, Just Remember To Let It Sit For Whatever Time Is Necessary For The Bubbles To Subside, Otherwise The Bottle Will Either Blow Up, Or Blow The Cap Off In Your Luggage.... Cheers Glen.
ooo these are all great points guys thanks. K, it's settled I will bring a small bottle of baking soda only, and hopefully wherever I am I'll find an empty bottle, cut some holes with my amazing pocket knife and do it that way. I don't have room for a special different empty bottle to always carry. Sweet thanks for bringing up all these points, that helps a lot!
Hmmm..... Now I feel like doing a baking soda wash... I just love how clean it feels, I haven't used baking soda in like 5 months though. It's gonna be refreshing.
