A question for the masses. what is "real" love? Our daily lives have been marinated with corporate bullshit. Is it possible to even know what "real" love is? Or have we been submerge in so much propaganda that we see through the eyes of the "man" now. We perceive the world the way we have been told to. We see the world the way they want us to see it

When one isn't greedy, needy, sad, angry, selfish, lonely, scared, jealous, apprehensive or motivated, that void is love.

I disagree 100%. I think love is often forsaken for greed need sadness anger selfishness loneliness scaredness jeaousy apprehension and motivation. Love isn't filling the void of these things, rather the converse is true. These emotions all fill the void of love.

Exactly. Love is a void that gets filled with all these other qualities. It's like not being able to see the forest for the trees.

Ideally love is without condition and therefore is beyond what can be taught, however we can remove the barriers we have erected against it.

ah i thought i might have misunderstood you. I thought you meant love was used to fill other voids.

indeed. true love is not conditional but completely accepting.

I was just seeing how people feel about love, and to be honest, it sounds like no one knows. like you guys are pulling non-sense out of you ass.

What you get when you say things like that to everyone who gave their interpretation is a conversation with yourself.

Sorry, didn't mean any disrespect. Sometimes I forget social etiquette. That internet gets to me after awhile. I was just hoping for a good conversation on a topic that everyone thinks about. I mean, I feel like our whole lives are built around love. I feel that a lack of knowledge on the topic leads to ignorance, hate, and anger. Look at dominate rulers of the past. They are pain filled people, with bitterness in there hearts. They looked for love through acceptance, and power.

Heya GuitarMann ...maybe you need to ask what is real in general, and not take for granted anything you were taught. Just dig yourself out of the dump.

Despite the influence of the mass media and school teachings, I believe we still have the tools to perceive ourselves and the world as we did when we just arrived here, thus answer questions such as this one.

It's not about 'them'.. it's about being your own sparkling light and the awareness of being here without limits.

Love is what gets trampled underfoot when societies go wrong. I can't define it,but I know it when I feel it.

I don't care what love is, I think to understand why you love something so much would simply diminish it.

love is perceived, yet it is chemical. it is a unique reality for everyOne, yet is a collective consciousness at the same time.

i heard the best analogy about romantic love last night from Madea, lol. I wanted to share it with you all...

When you ask a god/the universe/etc. for true love it can be thought of as a automobile GPS instrument. You're in your car, attempting to get to you destination/love and the signal from your GPS is beamed to a satellite/god/collective consciousness/etc. The satellite can see all the obstacles in your way, but you can only see your destination. Those obstacles are car accidents/bad partners, traffic stops/giving up on love, etc. You have to get through these obstacles to become the person you are supposed to be so that you can meet your true love. The universe will not give you love if you are not a full person, if you don't love yourself. Your true love does not deserve that.

eh, Madea said it better. lol
