Actually I did, and I woke up about once every hour throughout the night and I have to leave in five minutes for an exam that I haven't studied for, my mind is elsewhere.

Although I wasn't insinuating any such thing, which really you should be able to guess by the fact that I am not old enough to have been in WWI, I was actually in the military for three years.

 

They could have been riding the sharks....

 

That's what I thought you were getting at. This coat was made in 1992. You would have been in your early twenties. I suppose I should have specified that it wasn't from any of the world wars.

Oh, then forget it, I don't want the coat... I like the old ones.. And actually, I was in the military shortly before that... I joined late in 89 left in 92...

lol, there is a thread around here somewhere about groups of stalkers using modified microwaves to fuck with peoples minds... apparently if set up right, they can wake people up through walls (without sound) and these 'groups' do it so you wake up every hour or something...

I'm going out to take apart crates for a few hours....going up to a cabin in the mountains to be in a blizzard tonight....supposed to get 3ft.

That's the reason I'm going up. I've always wanted to be snowed in somewhere.:tongue: No skiing, just snow shoeing to get up there. The last 3 miles of the road is closed for winter.

Being snowed in sounds like fun as long as there's food, water, & heat, and you'd better be with someone you really like... Be careful and I hope you have fun...

 

We were using the local food pantry every week when I was unemployed for a year and a half. My wife still goes there for leftover bread on Fridays - if somebody doesn't take it they just throw it out.

One of the guys who helped run the food pantry looked at us and all our kids, and loudly quipped, "Maybe you should get something off the birth control shelf. You shouldn't be having kids if you can't afford them." This guy was just seeing us for the first time and had never even spoken to us before, and this was with our kids standing right there witnessing the whole thing.

I stood in the middle of the room and said loud enough for everybody to hear, "When we had the kids, we thought we could afford them." I had a six-figure income before I lost my job, and I had never been unemployed for more than a month and a half. The guy looked down and never said another word to us.

Now I'm on the edge of bankruptcy. Ain't life an adventure?
