As the title says, I am heading out west, two different sets of friends have set up a communities in AZ and Idaho and looking for some help at both places. Will start in AZ first and when the snow clears maybe take ride up to Idaho for a visit. I have an extended cab ford truck (fits three nicely, 4 is a squeeze) lots of building tools, loads of food (dehydrated etc, enough for a year for 4 people) and plenty of organic veggie seeds to get the garden started. This past year I grew 75% of my own food, sold extra produce at a roadside stand to make some money. So, if you want to get away for an adventure or need more details, let me know, will be leaving Florida around December 27th. Age, gender, blah, blah blah are all unimportant, this is not a personal ad. I am looking to pass my skills on to those interested in living off the land without all the corporate crap.
Sorry, I haven't been on for a few days, to answer some questions. Will be leaving from the Jacksonville, FL area, but there is not set route, if someone wanted picking up somewhere else, we can discuss. Several years ago, I was in Washington State finishing up the season on a farm, one of the girls on the farm wanted a ride back to New York so we headed across the country, we got a distress call from a guy in Idaho who needed to get back to the East Coast, so we picked him up too, those too hit it off and are now starting the commune in Idaho. You just never know where the journey will take you or what you may find. Sorry, I don't have enough post to be able to PM people, I will work on that today and tomorrow.
So, at the moment, I will be leaving Daytona Beach, heading to Virginia to pick up Rainbowgal and then will trek across country unless someone else wants to travel with us?
Damn, wish I could. No way I'd be able to get to VA that soon. What is the name of your destination, though?
Would you be able to head through Indiana after va? I would love to come but I'm kind of young and in Indianapolis, in I know that's far but I have no way of transportation to really meet anywhere else
I would love to help with a budding community. I'm kinda late on this one but if you have not made it past oklahoma I would be more than willing to lend my efforts.
Delayed a few days due to the weather on the East Coast, but will be on the road right after New Years. Looks like we will be leaving Virginia, then heading down through Tennessee and then across I-40 Stay tuned for updates
I would love to come and join a commune to find growth in life for myself and help share. I won't be able to leave until the end of this month. My lease will be up and I wanna try something different. I live in Denver, Colorado but I can meet you somewhere by taking a Greyhound. Please keep me updated as to whats going on. Thank you!
