Hey Now! Now thats its winter, i was my dreadies way less frequently than in the summer, partly cuz i cant dry my hair in the sun the way i can in the nice summer heat. and when i do wash and dont dry thoroughly they start to get that stank. i dont own a blowdryer... thinkin about investing in one this winter for them. i have just been sitting in front of my woodstove squeezing out the water and trying to get them to dry. so i guess my question is... how do you dry your dreadies in the winter and keeping them from getting the stank?
Squeeze with hands lots, then squeeze with a microfibre towel a lot more. (Lifeventure trek towels rule! Unfortunately they're a bit of a rip-off) Leave hair down till it's dry.
Leave them in a towel for an hour and they dry within 5 hours. I don't understand how dreads as thick as mine dry so fast
I Have A Lint Free Towel I Only Use On My Hair. After Washing I Squeeze Each One, Then Headbang, Then The Wet Dog Shimmy Shake.... Then Repeat This Procedure Till There Are No Drips, Or Until My Middle Ear Says "Enough" And I Get Giddy And Have To Hang On To Something To Avoid Falling Earthwards. Then I Stand Under One Of The Central Heating Vents For A Few Minutes, And Head Off To Do Some Shopping And About Three Hours Later They Appear Dry EXCEPT If The Humidity Is Over %70 And Then It's Back To The Heating Vent For A While. Cheers Glen.
