I'm going to tell some stories in this thread - stories mostly about some of my psychic adventures.

As it happens, I'm writing a book. The stories in this thread will also be in my book, though the book will have a lot more. All the stories I add to this thread will include my copyright.

This thread came about because I suggested to Meliai that she might like to see some actual evidence about psychic phenomena before she forms an opinion about them. She was agreeable.

So we will see what ensues...

I don't have time yet to jot down story number 1. I'll try to have that ready for the morning.

 

Note, if things progress in the manner described by the foregoing announcement,
we shall count the phenomena as evidence of a psychic power of premonition or
prophecy.

We started talking about visions in the other thread. This story is about a vision I had. This happened in January 1990.

I had been talking to woman online and getting closer to her. I lived in the Los Angeles area, and she lived 2000 miles away, in Chicago. We had never met face to face. The only way we had ever communicated was via emails or Prodigy bulletin boards, which were like these forums. We had never exchanged photos, and we had no photos of ourselves posted online - the Internet per se had not yet developed capabilities like the ones we have now. We had never described ourselves to each other, except for one thing: She had told me once that she had long hair.

One evening we were exchanging emails at a fairly rapid pace. We were having fun talking and joking via email. I sent her an email, and then opened one she had just sent me, and started reading.

As I started reading, my attention abruptly split. Part of me was in the LA area, reading her note. Another part of me seemed to be seated beside her in Chicago on her left side, watching her. I saw her in vivid detail. Her hair was long, as she had told me. It was a medium brown, honey tone, and it was swept back over her shoulders, falling down her back, so that as it came down from her head it curved back over the top of her shoulder and then fell straight down her back.

She seemed taller than I expected - she was nearly as tall as I was. She had a small, delicate face, with a small but strong, pointed chin. Her nose was prominent, and arched slightly. I didn't take note of her eye color at the time - when I tried to remember later, it seemed to me that her eyes were bluish rather than brownish.

I also saw her hands on the keyboard. I was surprised at how long and slender her fingers were. Her nails were very short, and unpainted. Her fingers moved rapidly over the keyboard.

At one point she threw her head back and laughed.

I observed all this while I was simultaneously reading the note she had sent. As I was reading I was hearing her voice saying the words. There was an unusual quality to her voice - what I described later as "throaty," which isn't the greatest description, but sort of gets the idea across.

This vision lasted several seconds, and then faded. After it faded I got excited about it, and immediately wrote her another email in which I told her about my vision and described her appearance and her voice, pretty much as I've described them here. She wrote back and said that could be her. She said she would mail me a photo.

When the photo arrived, it was just as I had seen her in my vision. Her eyes turned out to be grayish-blue. When I eventually talked to her on the phone, I recognized the "throaty" quality of her voice. When I eventually met her in person, I saw her notably long, slender fingers with very short, unpainted nails.

She told me that what she had been thinking at the time I had this vision was that she adamantly wanted me to know her, to know what she was like, because she was sure that if I knew who she was and what she was like I would love her.

So far, so good...but Zg, what happened?! Did you love her? Meet her in r/l?

Several times I've had dreams of someone's death or dying; but knew in my dream that it was really a someone-is-pregnant dream; because nobody in the dream(s) was unhappy. Each time there was a pregnancy! )) I know that isn't really what the thread is about; but having a dream that sticks with you seems sort of like a vision - to me anyway.

 

Lynn, we've been married since April 1992. I would like to say we lived happily ever after, however the reality is far from it...it has been a great marriage for my spiritual growth tho...

I guess if the death-dream thing works for you, then great! I have a dream story, but I'm saving it for later.

 

no fair, you used a romance story. i'm a skeptic but i'm a hopeless romantic and the hopeless romantic wins out every time lol. that is a beautiful story.

I like when things work out for lovers. I don't want to discredit that story because I like that story. I like that you guys ended up getting married.

I could argue it. I could say a number of things but I don't want to insult you or the love you have for your wife.

Well it was quite romantic when it happened...now of course, we're in a mutually unsatisfying marriage. But whatever...the next story involves romance also. Actually a lot of them do, in some sense. Not all, however.

I'm really not sure how you would go about questioning my story anyway...the only way I think you could do it would be by questioning my memory, objectivity, truthfulness, or accuracy - in other words, questions of either perception or intent.

 

i would have questioned your perception. Such as, could it be possible that your initial vision was not as vivid as you remember it being, and perhaps you filled in the blanks of the vision once you met her, to the point where it seems as if your original vision was very vivid and detailed.

I've noticed memory often works like this. There have been events that I only vaguely remember, but once I start talking to someone about them I fill in the blanks. I'm never sure if i'm jogging my memory by filling in the blanks or if i'm taking someone else's description of the event and inserting it as my own.

 

Yes. That's a valid question, and probably your best option for finding weaknesses in my story.

However as you see, I wrote her an email right after the vision happened. And as I mentioned, the email included all the details I've listed here. And all those details can be verified easily just by looking at her.

 

Actually, I will admit there's one detail I listed here that wasn't in my email - her height. I didn't mention it in the email. However this exception actually helps strengthen my story by showing how accurate my memory is.

 

Also btw, I was just thinking about another detail - this is something I remember about the vision, but I didn't mention in the email - in fact, I've never written or said anything about this: As I said, when I was looking at her face, it was as if I was sitting to her left. However when I viewed her hands on the keyboard, it was as if I was sitting slightly to her right, and her hands were in closeup view - I wasn't seeing the rest of her at all. It was as if I switched to a different camera that was giving me a closeup view of her hands.

 

I'll try to get the next story in here tonight or in the morning...

 

The woman I saw in my vision - let's call her Patricia - got to be my long-distance girlfriend eventually. A little over a year after my vision, I was talking to her on the phone. Well, I was actually listening more than talking. I was entranced by the sound of her voice. It's hard to describe - I just loved her so much at that point, the sound of her voice seemed almost miraculous to me, and I wanted to lose myself in it, be surrounded by it, drown in it...

And suddenly part of me was inside her head, looking out through her eyes.

I still had never met her in person at this point. I had never seen where she lived. But I was able to see a bit of her apartment through her own eyes, and I could see what she was doing while talking to me.

I was so excited that I interrupted her and asked, "Are you pacing?"

"Yes." She sounded a bit perplexed.

"And do you you have the phone on your left ear, and are you gesturing with your right hand while you're talking?"

"Yes! How did you know?"

So I told her what had happened and how I had been inside her head looking out through her eyes for a few seconds.

I didn't see much detail of her apartment. I just have vague impressions of kind of dingy, brownish carpet, sparse furnishings, and a table lamp glowing in one corner in front of her. When I finally visited her apartment for the first time a few months later, these impressions seemed appropriate - though, again, I have no detailed recollection.

Meliai? You still there? I'm counting on you to do your skeptic thing here, it's a very important job...

 

I'm sorry to hear that, zen. From everythinbg on this thread, this is the one thing that is definitely completely real and worth putting a lot of your mindpower towards, if you ask me. You know you have a wife you loved dearly and now you're both unhappy in your marriage. Maybe the majority of your energy and focus right now should be on that solid fact, so you can have a chance at sorting it out.

I don't know you, so want to avoid jumping to conclusions. (I know it might seem like I have already a bit, but that's not my intention) Maybe you're already doing the best you can on that front. But just a reminder that the things you're spending time on here describing to people you haven't met may be nothing more than coincidence and illusion, and meanwhile your real life is in trouble.
