Haha, while I would love to harm them, we're way too high up on the list of suspects (the cops have been dealing with us vs. them for years now), and I can't bring myself to harm their dogs, let alone mutilate one and break into their house to soil their bedclothes. But I'm glad I have so much support. My neighbors are just supreme asshats.
The "landlord" is my boyfriend's parents and this feud has been going on for about 23 years over his mother telling their little girl she couldn't play at the house if she wasn't going to be nice and fair. Those kids are now 27 years old and the old bitch over there still hasn't gotten over her child being "unfairly punished." And as far as going to the neighborhood...ha, they run the association (it's a private land owner's division outside of town). It's a no-win situation, except the fact that us living here pisses them off...and that feels sooo awesome. That's the reason they've been such douchebags to us, his parents inherited his grandparents' house, so they were planning on selling this house and the land. Well, they got excited about that because they're trying to buy up this block for some weird business venture. Then his parents decided they'd rather let us live here, so the neighbors didn't get to buy the lots our house is on. So they've been acting like dicks ever since. And to stir the fire a little more, Daniel's dad bought the lot and house next door to us. Hahahaha. Even if this house falls down, this land is ours and will forever remain so! Wahahaha
This Is Why I Live In The Middle Of 800 Acres, If This Was Happening To Me I Just Couldn't Handle It, Life Is Far Too Short To Carry A Grudge For Years Over Such A Trivial Matter.... They Should Just Grow Up And Act Like Adults For A Change. Cheers Glen.
Get a car battery and some line and hook up an electric fence. A couple of times hitting it and they will stop. It does not do any permanent damage to the animals.
Try picking up a rock. Dogs learn quickly. If they've ever been hit by a rock they will run away the moment you pick it up. It's better than killing them and well within your right if they're attacking.
They have a bloodhound that sounds off every time I go out to my car. I think it would be impossible to sneak over there undetected.
A glass of water in the face will train some dogs. I knew someone with a small dog that would chase people down the street on their bicycles and cause accidents. To train it, someone on a bike had a glass of water and threw it in the face of that dog when it started to chase him. The owner of the dog said it would be ok to try this. A couple of glasses of water quickly modified the dog's behavior. It would shy away from bicycles as they came up the street after that. There are always some protective dog owners who will cry animal cruelty at any attempt at training a dog no matter how painless and effective the method. However, something needs to be done when people are getting hurt on their bikes. .
I've never heard of water in the nose, but it sounds fairly painless. There was a neighbor dog when I was growing up that bit my sister and Dad putting scars on their ankles. Eventually the owner had to lock the dog up. I wish they would have known about water in the nose. It may have done the trick. I use rocks, because that's usually all that's avaliable to me when I'm running and a dog looks like he's going to bite me. I've never even thrown a rock at a dog. Just picking it up has worked every time.
would also need a transformer to multiply the voltage thousands fold and a proper electric fence set up its the voltage that powers a fence...car batteries wont do anything with just 13 volts...you can check this out by touching your car batteries positive and negative terminals with your hands...I guarantee you wont feel a thing
You Can Buy Small Electric Fence Energisers That Are Not Much Bigger Than A Coke Can, And Run On Two D-Cells, Works For Fence Lines up To 1km Batteries Usually Last Three Weeks. The Guy Who Leases This Farm From Me Uses Them When He Puts Cattle On Here And Sections Of My Boundry Fence Leave A Lot To Be Desired.. Cheers Glen.
It really is not hard to do. Cheap. A little wire, some insulators and wood for posts and battery. http://www.ehow.com/way_5631122_homemade-battery-operated-electric-fence.html
read close and youll see it says "energizer"...thats the transformer that boosts the voltage they sell cattle prods at princess auto..Ive been tempted to buy one but I know it wouldnt end well :dizzy2:
probably...but 12 volts wont hurt...it just a hair more than sticking a 9volt duracell on your tongue use your fingers on a 9 volt and you wont even know theres voltage
I know that but they are really cheap to buy and easy to work with. Plus it is not a permanent fixture. Once the problem is over it tears down in nothing flat. The added benefit is that it does not hurt the animals. Cattle prod? Brings Saturday date night to an all time high.
If Your Hands Are Damp You Will, When I Was Servicing The House Batteries Yesterday, My Hands Were Damp, And I Was Kneeling On Damp Ground, And When I Was Working On The Positive Connections I Was Receiving A Shock Not Bad Enough To Be A Real Problem But Certainly A Nusience When Trying To Hold A Shifting Wrench.... It's A 12 Volt System, 48 Batteries In 8 Banks Of 6, 2 Volt Cells, The 8 Banks Are Connected In Parallel Resulting In An Output Of 12 Volts And 1600 Amperhours. Cheers Glen.
