Today is my Thur/Fri.

 

I am pooped, I just mad and frosted 300 cookies with my mom.

 

today is everyones thursdy friday isnt it?

 

I don't know-do others (who are not lucky enough to be retired) have tomorrow off, thus treating Thursday as if it were Friday?

I don't have to do anything tomorrow, which is why I'm going downtown and hitting the bar tonight.

I am planning to quit smoking at the weekend

 

How could a girl say no...

 

Better yet, plan to quit on the weekend, but actually quit today or tomorrow. It shows yourself more self control. When I smoked, the first one or two times I'd say, "I'll quit when this pack is done." The thing is though, when the pack is done, you automatically want more because you know that you're out and don't have any. It's natural to want things you don't have. The final time I quit I dumped 3/4 of a fresh pack down the toilet. Gave me more control over the cigarettes.

If you quit when you still have some left, you show yourself that you control the habit, not the cigarettes.

Of course though, you can do whatever you want.

Damned right. Just for that I am never going to tell you about Deanna's shit again. Ever. Even if she does something that so totally humiliates me that I look and feel like a complete loser, I will not give you the satisfaction of knowing about it.

Tonight is my company Xmas party. My plan was to get drunk and then give a particular woman major grief. Unfortunately it turns out my 11-year-old daughter's choir performance is tonight, so...anyway I told the woman what my plan had been, and she appreciated the thought...
