I know... he's always like "wtf?!?" You know... I love his faces he makes while cranking out solos and such... one time someone was making fun of him for that and was like "omg... why do people let him make those faces" and I was like "because he's Eric Clapton"
john mayer is a dork, period. everyone makes weird faces when they play music...... just think of the faces you make mid-coitus...... its not a pretty site either. drummers make the strangest faces, keith moon looked like a fish most of the time, bobbing his head up and down
Claptons an ass, anyone who has to sing other peoples songs to get a hit is a joke. Cocaine, Aftermidnight,: Clapton? No J.J. Cale, not metion songs by Marley and who knows who else. And there verisons are so much better.
Keith Moon looked spastic and was the best ever, period! And Neil Young's style is not very graceful either, but, oh Wow! (Did I mention I saw him in concert this past year?) Oh, and back on tract: The older the Clapton music the better, he's just too mellow and jazzy for me these days, but Derek and the Dominos, or yardbirds, or Cream, etc. - I love that. But walking down the alley with Sally, please!
I gotta say I love Eric Clapton - prefer Cream mind you, but some of his solo stuff is good. My next door neighbours nephew was taught to play guitar by him actually ( seriously!! His dad and Eric Clapton are mates!! ). Yeah Eric Clapton may have been a bit of an arse, but he made great music and is a fucking class guitarists. peace and love xxxxxxx
Clapton is better live. And he was the best with Derek and the Dominoes and the Yardbirds. J.J. Cale's version of After Midnight is a million times better. I watched him play it on TV at the Crossroads.
I like him with the Yardbirds... but! I think that cream was a more musically progressed band, than the yardbirds clapton years... And I think that it probably suit him better as a guitarist. Plus, I like beck and page better the the yardbirds.... dont know why.
Anyone heard Blind Faith? Fucking brilliant album.I recently got the delux edition with loads of extra songs and about 5 awesome jams Clapton really shines on this.
