Why does the Ecstasy comeup feel like it hits so much harder?

Anybody well versed in pharmocolgy who can explain why the comeup of ecstasy seems to hit so much harder than molly?

...And Let's discount other psychoactive adulterants, I know I've had some pretty clean ecstasy in the 6+ years ive done it. I usually dose 2 pills or 200 mgs of molly so relatively even doses, i think. Once molly gets going it can be just as intense and euphoric but it seems like its a gradual comeup compared to ecstasy pills which once I feel the initial alerts I usually get a huge wave of euphoria within minutes.

I do take ecstasy sublingually sometimes, I figured that may be a reason but any other possible reasons?

i watched some video about the makeup of some drugs and ecstasy has some extra shit in it that makes it spread across your receptors better so it hits you harder

 

Yeah, the other subs in a roll would have been my only guess. IME the one time I mixed 200mg MDMA with10mg 4-aco-dmt and it hit me like a ton of fucking bricks. In 15 minutes, my entire world was spinning and morphing and I felt like I was levitating, I had to sit down and stare at 1 spot for about 20 minutes because I was so overwhelmed. Now I know 4-ace is a different animal altogether but it just seems to me that MDMA is either easily influenced by other substances or it poentiates them greatly. In your case could also be the association with being out at a club or show and knowing that first alert means a good fuckin night is bout to happen...

That first sentence is for sure the truth.

The second sentence is true to an extent as well but I have taken molly at a couple shows and i have taken ecstasy in a more intimate setting.

The same chemical MDMA is what you want when you take ecstasy and molly. Molly is the powder/crystal form. I thought you meant some of the binders that hold the pill together worked as like some sort of brain neuron inhibitor. Interesting video though.

 

The difference between 120mg MDMA and 120mg MDMA plus 7mg 2c-b was unbelievable . . . psychedelic synergy is multiplicative.

 

Higher does of MDMA (250mg upwards) certainly hit hard. Only tried it once, i'm quite glad i wasn't in a club for it.

 

^Not for clubs usually but raves often have spots for people who get 'puddled'

 

'Puddled' - i likes it. I reckon just a sturdy chair to hang on to would do so that you're not blasted off into space.

 

For the first fifteen years of my experience with MDMA (from 1985 on) I only did pure MDMA (aka 'molly'). I heard some people at a Dead show refer to molly around 1994 and wondered what the heck it was.

I remember the initial come-on feeling disorienting for about 3 or 4 minutes (at the ~25 minute point), then it settled into that familiar groove. It was not as pronounced after the first dozen or so experiences. I am not sure whether that was due to some neuronal conditioning or just being more used to it (those may really be the same).

I probably took 'molly' (one guy I knew referred to it as 'crunch' because of its consistency) on over 500 occasions over that time, typically ~150 mg on an empty stomach, followed by a ~75 mg supplement at the 2 hour point.

I tried the pills a handful of times more recently and it was hit or miss. It is much safer to have a known, pure substance for that sort of thing.

My son (at least he tells me everything) said something called 'thizz' is around, supposedly potent e pills. Anyone know what that is all about?

 

It may be that the delivery of the mdma in the beans is a bit different because of the other ingredients. Thats my guess.

 

A good bit of caffeine that may/may not be in pills probably helps.

Yah you raise a very good point in that I was well past my 15th trial with the stuff before I used molly so diminishing returns probably is a huge factor.

Thizz is just the slang name for ecstasy by black people in the bay area to refer to ecstasy. Mac dre a bay area rapper and some of his crew started a subgenre called hyphy that was popular for like a year. It was basically a bunch of thugged out rappers who found ecstasy and started making silly music and silly dances.
