I think you can ask her your questions . If she is real she has to be open minded . Maybe you haven't got another chance to try your luck! :)

Well today I got a letter where she finally asked for money so I now know it's a scam. It was just too good to be real :( She asked for $950. US and said I could wire it to any western union in the world. What do you think I should write back-lol. Maybe I should send her 95 cents lol. It really suck even though I was prepared to have this happen still hurts. I cleaned up my house and everything feel stupid.

send $9.50 and when she says she asked for 950 tell her you did send 950 but the western union guy must have ripped her off

    Sorry to hear that.

I would report this to the police. That is how they try to stop some of these sites from running.

Write back that you need to ask her for a loan of $950 and that she can wire it to you exactly the same way.

man oh man, i am so very, very, very, sorry you got your heart broken by a scamer.

all i can say is this, don't beat youself over the head and shoulders for being "stupid."
all of us older members here at hip fourms, can tell our own tale or two, of our younger days when, we got involved in something "stupid," that gave us one hell of a nasty case of heartbreak.

this fact of life really sucks, "you live and learn, or you don't live long."
i know that is on hell of a shitty truth, and you know it all too well right now because, your holding the shitty end of the stick. that shit end of the stick, gets passed around to all of us from time to time in life.
it has been one hell of a long time, since i have held the shitty end of the stick.
it seems the longer i have lived, the better i have gotten at advoiding getting the shitty end of the stick for longer and longer peirods of time.
i have no doubt at all, that you will learn this skill too as time goes on.

once more; i am so sorry that you got fucked over like this and, i understand that you are grieving over what you thought could have been.
i'm not laughing at you for being "stupid."
my heart goes out for you because, i too was "stupid" in the same way when i was younger.
time never does heal all wounds.
it only heals some of them.
the wounds that never heal, we all find a way to live with them and move on in life.

i wish you only the very best of luck in both love and life mate.:D

Waste as much of their time as possible, with weeks/months of daily updates on how you're getting the money working a burger joint or some shit, then at the very end say you couldn't help it and spent it all on meth. Then post for us to see. Maybe if they're REALLY stupid, you could even say you're starting over and working up towards it again, and then keep having more rediculous things happen to it... then work up again....

Personally, I'd suggest against reporting it. The internet is the wild west, and you have to be prepared to play the game to use it. The only way to regluate the internet is through things such as ACTA and warrentless tapping/logging/tracing, which will kill everything you love about the internet(HF, erowid, etc). Just do your thing, and don't get burned. If no one bit, no one would scam, just like other crime, if there's no profit there's no reason for it.

Is it how much I make I put 35-50 grand a year or the pics which show me about a year ago and I a was a litte overweight but since then I have dropped alot? Ladies what could I put in my profile to draw you in I'm a totally awsome guy who just wants to be in a relationship with a women

dude from the above post i can tell what is going down and, i can tell you how most likely to change things for the better. i say "most likely" because, there is no such thing as 100% guarantee to anything in life. anyone who tells you other wise is either a fool or they are out to fuck you over.

go buy a copy of the 2011 edition of, "what color is your parachute?"
even thought it says that, it is, "a guide for job hunters and career changers."
it is also, the best guide i know of, that can teach you the skills to make your way through the "dating market." and, yes, it is a "dating market."
parchute will be able to give you the education and tools you need to change things for yourself.

I do believe its odd on how she is PICKING up her visa in NA. I never had to do this, I got my visa in Russia that Im allowed to enter Canada - it took a full year maybe a year in a half. I also think 2 months is way too early in opinion to get approved of a visa (esp in Russia). Also how shes travelling ANYWHERE where the male lives.. In a females view, that is not safe at all, for a single female to travel across the world to meet a man whom she doesnt know. If she had an idea that she wants to live in America, the location should have be picked, so I would be very wary, even if shes real.

I dont know how you think, but its not 1 guy working as "girls" at all. Some sites, actually have girls working for them, their real girls who take their photo up on the site and write whatever. They can via-webcam with you, they can send you photos of your requst, they can send you letter and presents, blah blah blah. The guy can think its legit, usually these girls dont want to go to America but that is the statement. They just sucker the guy in, making him travel to their country, or the girl says she wants to visit him, while getting presents and more money until she needs to leave him. These broads dont want to live in America yet again (esp being married to some loser) They can easilly earn their money to a passport by doing this. Depending on each site, some work better than others, but both parties keep the money in a certain % spilt. Such as 200$ USD can feed about 2+ people in Russia for a WHOLE month.

I think its because you write to females who are WAY younger, WAY better looking, WHO dont want men who think they deserve that because you see it on TV, its not real buddy.

Yet again, settle for a normal female your age, not some 20 y.o who looks hot.

So let me get this strait...

I should let people in nigeria scam me pretending to be russian, so that I can be charitible to russians and feed them for 200 bucks a month by sending 950 bucks to nigeria by way of russia?

    Waaaiiiit...

    Nah, seems legit.

No, I did not say that, they dont care if you fully waste their time, was the overall idea. The money comparasion was just to show, it takes 10$, then 100, then 200$, doesnt seem like the much, but it adds up.
Now as for scammers going for you, thats your choice to believe it or not to believe it. There are scammers from everywhere, and if people believe them, then it's their own fault. If a person makes an ACTION of sending money over, it was their choice.

So it's my own choice to send money if I tell them it'll be a month, and then another month, and then another month, and then never send money?

And all the money I didn't send adds up?

    Yeah, I know, right?

in regards with eastern european women, who are looking for foreign husbands on those dating sites and their mentality-
those of them who are 'real', are as afraid of scam as their potential foreign grooms are. so most of them would rather have you visit them first in their country. I know a couple of women who went to see their men, but they either had enough cash to sustain themselves or they had friends/people they knew, living in the country of their destination, whos place they could stay at and use their support in case of whatever. So it is very unlikely that they would ask for anything. They would gladly accept help, but only in case you offer it yourself, without making you feel like you have to send money or do things for them. sure there are exceptions, like those who are looking particularly for a dude with a lot of money, but they usually mention it right from the beginning so that you don't waste their time.

also the chances that a woman like this
would be looking to date an average american(or just foreign) guy are very small. She most likely lives in a big city like moscow or st petersburg with a high key social and night life, has wealthy family or well-paid job, or rich lover or looking for a rich russian hubby. Meeting her among tourists and having a short affair is possible, but finding her among russian bride material is unlikely, imo.

a classic russian bride looks somewhat like this

not that she looks bad or anything, but you see what I mean :2thumbsup:

these are all scams...and it always works the same way "I'm coming to visit you, but poor me, poor, poor me, I have no money, but look how hot I am from these pictures...can you send me money?" you do, and mysteriously a relative dies or the girl simply disappears off the face of the planet
