so turns out that there is a salvador dali art exhibit in my town. how amazing would it be to dose up and then go to see his art?

now, i mean, i've been eating more acid than i should since july, but no wonder! shit like this keeps happening!

now to decide if i should breech my 'i'm taking a break from tripping' pact to go see salvador dali on acid.

I wouldn't be able to pass up this opportunity. I love going to museums/art exhibits tripping or not.

Take the acid and then extend your break a week or two :2thumbsup:

I'll bet you taking the acid will either make you reconsider your break or extend it indefinitely, just from the way you are talking.

i have a similar situation. i've been tripping a bit too frequently for my taste for the last couple years. i'm on my longest "break" since i kinda got back into psychedelics two winters ago. haven't tripped for two months (not that long), but there is an art show called "Psychedelic: Optical and Visionary Art Since the 1960s" that's over with on Jan. 2nd. i have to go before then, and i might wanna do it tripping. maybe some 2ce.

    by one of the artists:

i think they might also have something by alex grey there

i heard the exhibit at the museum i think you're talking about was of later work and doesn't include much surreal type pieces. it would still be good to go regardless

That sounds wonderful, I hope you take this opportunity to see the exhibt on drugs or not. I reccomend tripping but either way, you are sooooo lucky. Dali is one of my favorites! let us know how it is, or me at least. His pieces are HUGE

Well the surrealist stuff is what I'd really want to see, but you should at least go.

I would tend to think you should go sober, and then decide if it's worth tripping. It would be good to see it both ways, regardless.

I would just stare at the melting clocks until time and you just melt away.

Strange that he worked for Disney as a cartoonist.

So much of Dali's work is fake. There are the real pictures, the 'fake real' pictures, and the plain fake ones.

He used to get other artists to draw pictures and he would sign the bottom. You are likely not even going to see his work, his most famous (and genuine) pictures would probably not be carted around.

I've seen so much of his 'work' over the years.
