I got a new record player.. It's and old portable one that you carry around like a suitcase... I also got a 8 track player thats been down in the basement for quite some time.. Anyway I also got some old records that were lying around the house most of them are classical music.. I didn't think they'd be good because I use bash classical music. In addition to the usual boring presents; I got my christmas wish from the national weather service who just posted a Blizzard Warning for our area starting noon tomorrow with predictions of up to 2 feet of snow along with 50-60 mph winds - Hip, Hip Boo Hotwater
Where I'm at in Alabama got its first white Christmas since 1963. It is amazing! There is still like 5 inches of snow on the ground.

Christmas is alright. I enjoy the holidays, but I don't really care for Christmas. At least not the modern ideals of it.

Oh man, we got new tires for the car. I am SO happy...so so so happy. We're just miles away from a blow out on the front passenger side, but Daniel's dad went above and beyond and bought us 4 brand new tires. ...We have to take them back and exchange them because they are the wrong size, but they're going to get the same hubcaps on all of the tires (lol, it looks goofy right now), and his dad is going to balance them at his shop. After living for 3 years without a vehicle, stuff that helps us maintain the car is just beyond the greatest thing. I also got some cool little things from his mom and a digital converter box from my brother because we recently did away with our cable. My brother also bought me a George Carlin book. And Dan's mom gave us half her pantry of canned goods and rice packages so my grocery list has been cut down tremendously. And we were able to afford gifts for the family, too...it was just such a great Christmas.
Yup.. a good one this year. I'm glad my family managed to get along and have a good time without any arguments or drama Everyone loved their gifts which made me so happy bc I really put a lot of thought and love into them all and I got some cool stuff too. Of course the gifts were secondary, I really enjoyed spending a few days at my mom & dad's watching movies, baking cookies, making candy, talking, laughing, hugging. It only sucks that I'm stuck at work tonight.. been here since 9pm and don't get done til 11am and I only get time and a half for 9-12 But at least I have a job this year. And I can't wait for my bf to get home Mon night. I really miss him...
