ummmm you should do it now. it's not fair to her, regardless of what you perceive she has done to you, that you continue the relationship while waiting for the perfect moment to break up. don't be a puss, just do it already.

We was my prom for like 45 mins then she wanted to go out a smoke a cig. We was sitting there for probably 15 mins and started bitching how I didn't have a job. Then she started saying that I'm a piece of shit and a bum and that if i don't find a job soon that she's leaving me because she didn't want to date a bum. And after that we left.

 

Threatens to break up with you? Tell her "fucking do it". Spends your money? Don't give it to her. Smokes cigarettes and drives around all the time? Find out where the hell she's driving and who the hell's helping her smoke all YOUR cigarettes. Calls you a piece of shit? Threaten to break up with HER if she doesn't get her shit on track.

I say ditch that hoe. Or tell her what's up, and give her a short trial period. And I mean short. If she's still doing it, after you've been making your dissent obvious for a week, get OUT of that shit. Sounds like she's seriously fucking up your life.

 

She did help me out when we very first met a year ago but she's not really fucking up my life just my money and happiness and me smoking and hanging out with friends

Here is what it comes down to. She treats you in a manner you don't like. If you continue on with her, you are telling her that it is okay to treat you as she has been, because you take it.

Either break up with her, or stop bitching about the results of the choices YOU are making.

 

Would you, by any chance, owe her money? Did you borrow or take money from her at any time? Earlier you said she "helped" you... what did that include? Are you living with her or has she ever covered your expenses?

I never really borrowed money but she has given me money for gas and an insurance bill which was 88 dollars. And that was last January

Fuck it. Let her cut herself, who gives a shit. We're responsible for ourselves only, no one else. Once she realizes that she no longer has control over you, she'll likely stop cutting herself anyways. She only did it to guilt you into coming back to her, playing with your sympathy.
