I hope I can find some kind of advice on this forum because I'm really lost as to what to make of a certain situation.

My situation is this: for a while now I suspect a friend of mine to be lesbian. However, she has not come out yet and she even has a on and off boyfriend. But I know she hates men in general and has very close female friendships.
I've known her for 2 years but the last 6 months she's been acting weird around me, like she'll slowly caress my hair or smile in a sexy way. I've also noticed that she'll light up whenever she sees me. Last week she even said "jokingly" that she thinks she's a lesbian.

The thing is, I'm not a lesbian at all, I'm actually happily married for 5 years now and she KNOWS this (she even met my husband twice). Yet, the "hints" continue and today she said to another friend "M and I are lesbians!" while hugging me. I didn't answer as it was supposed to be a joke so I only laughed.

My question is: is she attracted to me even though I'm "straight"? How far will she go? When will her weird behavior stop? Can a lesbian fall in love with another woman even though that woman is married to a MAN? I wish I could ask her if she is indeed lesbian, but like I said, she hasn't come out and I only suspect she is. She's 40 and I'm 34 if this helps.

Any ideas would be welcome and I don't mean to offend anybody in here. I just need some advice and insight as to what to make of this. Thank you.

Okay just because your "straight" doesnt mean that a lesbian wont be attracted to you. Who knows how far she will go, if its bothering you then maybe you should tell her! It's not wierd behavior for her to be hitting on you, its disrecpectful because you are married. Be open and honest with her, tell her that your starting to feel uncomfortable. Its most likely a misunderstanding on your part, that or your looking for the signs of her being attracted to you.. Good luck.
