Vicks inhaler?

I heard that you can eat the tube inside a vicks inhaler, and get a speedy high- has anyone tried this? Any guides on doing this? Im thinking about giving it a try.

Yes!!! I did that the one and only time I ever rolled, and it was amazing.

 

Your informant was probably referring to a Benzedrine inhaler that are illegal now. (in Australia, that is). My old man, a drug addict before it became fashionable, never had one out of his nose in the late 1940's and 50's.

 

Perhaps thimgs have changed in recent years, but...

This is a myth perpetuated by the fact that Vicks inhalers contain (or at least used to) methamphetamine.
However, you could never get high because meth comes in 2 varieties, D and L, and only one of them gets you high- not the one in the inhaler.

So don't waste you're time. And for god's sake, don't try the "tried and true Method" of making speed. It's a hippy myth.

One thing I was wrong about that I had to look up is that vicks contains L-methamphetamine... I was under the impression that it's neurotoxic, though (mostly) inactive, but wether or not it's neurotoxic, it appears to be in it, from what I've found.

there's more than L and D methamphetamine, there's R, which is (as I understand it) A 1:1 mixture of L-D, but that changes the effects of both of them, I believe when R exists they're more than both present, but somehow bonded, though I could be wrong, I have poor chemistry skills.

L-methamphetamine does get you high, to some degree, at least in some people, or at least that's what I've seen anecdotal evidence point to. It just won't put you on the tip of a helicoptor rotor blade....

About this tried and true hippie myth, I've never heard of a method of transforming L-methamphetamine to D-methamphetamine, but I can easily believe it to be less than challenging. *EDIT* while I've been unable to find anything on the conversion, and really don't want to google more than "vicks vapor meth", as I'd rather the DEA don't come knocking even if I DON'T have a bathtub full o' meth, I found at least one site detailing a prosecution for extracting L-methamphetamine from what a sheriff described as "around fifty" vicks products, used to make something called "crank", "bathtub meth", and other silly names that technically described it, but didn't REALLY describe it. But I would assume he was extracting a fuckton of vapor inhaler because it had some effects he liked, or that others paid for.... I've also found a good number of people who say that the inhalers, wether chewed/ingested or just sniffed, invigorate them more than most people report.

But that's just what I see, I could be wrong about any or all of it....

Anyone claiming a high on L (especially from inhalers) is full of --
placebos.

The conversion -- actually Isomerization-- from D to l is too complicated for starting cold unless you have a million vicks' inhalers. if memory serves, they only have 25 mg apiece of desoxyephinedrine (meth). [it's actually in the little piece of cotton]
However, if you're interested, try a patent search. P2P manufature involved the technique.

I don't know where you get the "R".

There is meth. bi-meth and tri-meth (both inactive).

Underground, at one time, what was called "crank" was D,L, Amphetamine (see; artificial sweetners) and "speed" was D, L Meth amphetamine (when mostly pure D meth came along, D,L meth was mistakenly refered to as 'Sulfate" in the mistaken assumption that it was bootleged Benzedrine. "bennies" (amphetamine sulfate such as black beauties or RJS if memory serves) as oppsed to "whites" or desoxyen that was actually meth HCL.)

some one metion thier dad liking benzidrine inhalers once upon a time.

They were "Benzedrex" inhalers and they took the amphetamine out when they were scheduled 2'd in 65 or 66. but the rumor presisted, and The Tried And True method allows for thier use.they still existed thriught the 80's. but now?). Useless anyway.

 

= the time I ate the vicks inhaler I was a teenager. This would suggest 1980s.

 

when i had a stuffed nose, i asked my mom to get me either a benzedrex or a vicks inhaler while she was at the store. my excuse for wanting the benzedrex inhaler was that i heard it had stronger vapors. she couldnt find it and got me the vicks inhaler instead. i said "what the hell" and cut open the inhaler and swallowed the cotton rod. i got a light buzz, similar to a low dose of adderall i would use to concentrate in school or socialize with peers.

it might sound hard to believe but l-meth can have some rec value for people who are lightweights with stimulants.

lol i figured id get a reply like that. but honestly l-meth does have recreational value but its limited. maybe it was a placebo but i didnt expect anything out of it so maybe im one of the lucky ones that got something out of it

 

I could take 120mg of pseudoephedrine and be flying.. I get some decent visuals .. to much a load on my heart so I dont take them in that range to often.. I dont sleep as it is..
