Infected Mushroom & Shpongle for New Years

anyone else gonna be there in NYC??? so excited!!! :hurray:
Christopher Lawrence will be there too! not to mention Simon Posford from Shpongle playing his solo project Hallucinogen

Sounds like a good time. I've seen all 3 of them all good DJs/bands. Should be a memorable night!

i know some people that are doin that too! unreasonably expensive imo tho... same reason im not doing phish nye either... really makes you question an artist/ band's motives

 

It is quite pricey but after we steal all their hard earned $ from downloading they got to figure a way to make money somehow.

 

after all the fees it was basically 90 a pop for standing general admission... in my opinion you cant put a price on a night like this... seeing as its a great lineup, great venue, and just the fact it's new years eve. besides going off of what guerilla said, live performances is the real gem of bands/artists so thats where all the money should go anyways

the sphongle spot is a DJ set not live. Lame. glad i caught shpongle and hallucinogen as live acts while he was still doing that.

Where did you see shpongle live ??? In the uk or japan?

 

they are still doing live sets btw, theyre going on tour soon in Austrailia

 

They are just starting to do more live sets, I've been a fan since like right after Tales of the Inexpressible came out and I've never heard of them doing a live show in the U.S. Which is where I thought omacatyl was from.

 

Why must it be a 100+ dollars?!?! Thats like 5 jillion dollars when you ad in gas and fairs and hotels and such, plus various substances!

For the people going, I salute you, it is probably gonna be soo insanely epic! Who knows, Simon might metamorph into a dragon at midnight, and do his set on fire or something.

 

I caught both live acts in the summer of 07 at Gamma Festival in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Eureka, Arkansas. It was pretty a insane show given the location and the circumstances. Between that show Aum festival, and Goa Gil i ended up trekking out to the Ozarks many times that year and each experience was nothing short of magical.

I realize this but he could have fooled the folks where I live. The last 3 Shpongle appearances in my state have been DJ sets and the one scheduled for 2011 is the same.

One thing that's for sure...
I would rather watch a Sphongle dj set than see Infected Mushroom perform live.
