Of all the threads I've ever seen in here, there has never been one devoted to just Canadian bands. Being that there are alot of Canadian members here, it is only fitting that one should be started. If you're going to post here, try to put one or two bands per post. Let's give everyone a chance to post their favourite Canadian bands. I'll start off by posting two of the oldest bands that I can remember. The first band is fitting for this time of year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydT4wmR6KnQ"]YouTube - Auld Lang Syne by Guy Lombardo & His Royal Canadians The next one is a really old one as well: The group was so-so at best. But they did make the charts back in their day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9G0-4TWwew"]YouTube - The Crew Cuts - Sh Boom Sh Boom PAX

This is probably the first Canadian group that I know of that made it big. This song was recorded before Burton Cummings became a member. They also came from my hometown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxuqUNKqj6E"]YouTube - The Guess Who - Shakin' All Over PAX
In '68 I was at a party in Vancouver when I met this older couple who said they were in a band and they were going to make it big. I smiled and said "sure- you guys sound great". The following year they came out with this song and did kinda' make it big. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nnlWGBLeyc"]YouTube - The Poppy Family - "Which Way You Goin' Billy?" But if you'd prefer some herb, here's a fine Canadian band few folks have heard about, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings with Stoned. (Video starts at the 16-second mark.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8KtHySl61I"]YouTube - STONED-BLACKIE AND THE RODEO KINGS
The Tragically Hip is one of Canada's most famous bands. And, in my opinion, the best of the last 25 years. (I can almost hear the gasp from Rush fans.) This is one my favourite tunes of theirs, Ahead By A Century. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6-Vn0kxUFA"]YouTube - Ahead By a Century - Trouble at the Henhouse - The Tragically Hip

With all the Canadian members here I thought there would have been more participation on this thread. I'm more familiar with alot of the older Canadian artists and I was really hoping that I'd have an opportunity to hear alot of the newer artists out there. Oh well.
