If you were accused of not being a Christian, could you prove them wrong?

If you believe in Bible God there is no escaping that the Bible, in its entirety, is the incontestable rule book of Christianity. If it isn't, then show me where Big Jewly or his Dad says you can casually graze its pages and cherrypick the painless bits to obey.

If you disagree with certain sections of it, as you do, why call yourself a Christian? Call youself a "Smithian" or a "Hendersonian" (PBUT!) or whatever your surname is, and show some real faith. Faith that, if they do exist, Okoge Christ and his seemingly Stone Age Onetoks*, Daddio and Caspar, won't seek Payback for your criminally independant thinking.

Good for you, Hannah. So I can expect that in the future you wont defend Christsins when I lampoon them? Or if you do, that all religions will get a free pug/equal air time?

Show me anywhere in the Bible that says we must believe it literally. For people who didn't who are generally accepted as Christians, see the writings of Origen, Saint Augustine, Martin Luther, and, for that matter the Catholic and most mainline non-Evangelical Protestant churches, especially their seminaries. The vast majority of Christians throughout history, and a majority of them today outside the United States, Don't believe that faith in the Bible as inerrant is essential for Christian faith. Quoting Ehrman (Jesus Interrupted,p. 225): "In traditional Christianity, the Bible itself has never been an object of faith."

I wouldn't feel it necessary to "prove '' anything to anyone
