Black flies and dead people.

I probably should have mentioned in the first post, that the woman died in hospital that morning, not in her room. I think she went to hospital the day before.

So, still not sure how to explain that many flies. It's bizarre.

in all likelihood there was probably something nearby they were drawn to. food, trash, something

 

Looks like we have only one possible explanation left, then: Nargles.

Ummm, seriously, check the walls, floors, ventilation and crevices for rotting rodent corpses. It would nicely explain a plague of flies that suddenly "comes to life" when allowed to spread out into a room.

 

They called someone in to check for that, but haven't found anything.

 

I'm not sure what this means. I experienced something similar at my old house. That house was always dirty and very dark and depressing. We never cleaned it and usually had dishes piling up all the time. Gross! We never had a fly problem but then one day we actually cleaned the house. Everything was spotless and there was never a window open. No trash in the trash cans at all. No dirty dishes. My best friend who lived with me said there was a bizarre fly occurrence while I was sleeping. We never had flies and one clean day, 37 flies were in the kitchen at once, attacking my friend. They all tried to land on him at once. I didn't see that happen but when I woke up, we counting 37 dead flies on the kitchen floor that he had to kill. He was really weirded out and he used to be a skeptic. That same week weird stuff happened in the house like finding a dead bird with bullet in head at doorstep followed by nightmares, tapping, knockings, my friends bedroom door would always open on its own. I mentioned this place on here a long time ago. But the flies happened the same week all this stuff happened. It was weird but nobody died.
