So I have decided that after I have finished school and saved some money I am going to attend Burning Man 2012. Is there anyone who could help me figure out how to prepare??? I have never attended before. The only festies I have ever been to before are MEMF, Sacred Earth, and Earthdance (all 3-day-ers). I need a way to get to Burning Man and survive the festival on a budget. I am no allowing myself to put this on the back burner! This WILL happen- even if I gotta sell myself to 3 men, a midget, and a duck to do it! I live in Iowa. I have a truck, but I dunno how well it would fare on a trip to the middle of nowhere. I have a tent- but I think I'd like a larger one for BM. Suggestions on clothing, sun-protection, shelter, transportation, food, hydration, hygiene...? I feel like a total dweeb. I have no clue how to plan for something this big! HELP!
