Absolutely... THAT needs to be followed up on... how the FUCK can the cop be cleared when he behaved in a way that would have precipitated arrest and a beating for any lowly member of the public for disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, assault, risk of injury...

The ASSHATS who cleared the cop need to be beaten and dragged out of their place of employment in handcuffs and THEN see if they feel the pig's actions don't justify a forced career change. It's shit like this which undermines authority for the odd cop who might actually be doing his job properly.

Seems like every time a cop pulls some bullshit nowadays they get no real punishment. Maybe an absence with pay or in this case nothing.

 

From our perspective, yes...

...but if you first accept the premise that the general public are regarded as little more than cattle and have no real rights beyond what they can afford legal representation to fight for then the treatment begins to make perfect sense.

 

The fact that police officers can pull shit like this and keep their job is really disturbing to me. I see it all the time. Abuse of power, racism, just about anything goes. Being a police officer is a huge responsibility. It should be one mistake, and you're gone. That's your career? You've been an officer for 14 years? I don't care. You shouldn have thought of that before you became a power hungry ass wipe with a vengance.

Imagine a day care worker beat a child. Would it be okay if that worker was just given a slap on the wrist and allowed to go back to work? No. Why should it be any different for the police?
