    hello !!! i am from istanbul in turkey; I want to improve my english . if you want to learn turkish maybe I can help you to teach turkish. i hope someone can help me to teach english .

    Umbrella and Umbrage: These two words share a shady past...they're both derived from the Latin umbra, meaning "shade" or "shadow." For umbrellas the meaning is literal; umbrellas were originally used to provide a private shade...not to protect from rain. "To take umbrage" likely derives from the noun umbrage, which meant a shadowy appearance and implied general suspicion.
