Well hey there. Ive known about this site for the past 2 years, its about time I finally got started on it! Im 18, the age required to do pretty much anything in Alberta (which in case you are uninformed, is the Texas of Canada), and am a Uni student at the university of alberta, doing a history major and political science minor. (in my hometown of Edmonton). I've been playing music since I was 6 yrs old (Piano, Trombone, bass guitar) and music is definitely my favorite thing ever. I became interested in the psychedelic movement at about 14 through many 60's bands and performers, and I started reading the writings of Leary, Ginsberg, and Morrison. My conciousness was reborn that cold day in January of 2007, when I eagerly ingested those 200-something morning glory seeds that was originally conducted by myself to see what the experience was like. Growing up in Edmonton (affectionatly called "Redmonton" by the rightwingers in the province), I was raised in a liberal decent household and had already accumulated most of my views on everyday things, so the psychedelic movement already aligned nearly perfectly with my values. I started growing out my hair, meditating, playing bass, hanging with aliceD n' friends, and spending much more of my time in nature. Whether its chilling in the forest next to the river, or backpacking in the rockies, nature is where I feel at home always. Long story short, Im here on this forums I guess to start talking more with people who are more like me. I have alot of awesome friends, but I want to be friends with people who are more like me. If your in the same area, even better. Almost all of my close friends are in the music & drug scene. They are good people, but as far as spiritual discovery goes, they could care less. Lets just say that apathy and militant athieism are whats "in" now. See you guys on the forums Peace! Meerham
hello, welcome and happy new year to you also rock on and peace!! yeah and welcome newbie, rock on!!!!!
Hi And Welcome To The H.Fs, Has Anybody Ever Told You Dreadlocks Would Really Suit You....? Cheers Glen.
haha thanks! I had dreadlocks for abit actually, I have like 4 left still, under my hair around the back. I totally would have them all still, but I took out the elastics wayyyyy too soon (my friends gf is a hair dresser, so she helped) so they looked pretty crappy at the roots
Hii You sound pretty cool. I know what you mean, none of my friends are much into spiritual discovery either, but what can you do? lol.
