when you part ways with your lover...

I think it really depends on the person and our relationship...

If they've been a really good part of my life, of course I want to still try and be friends.

Some people make better friends than lovers.

 

Just curious, how does your current partner feel about your ex still having such a HUGE influence over your life?

 

in my ideals i would like to be friends with exes, but i have to admit not all of the relationships were healthy. sometimes a clean break was the only way to see how to grow without the influence that that person had.

 

i prefer to remain friends with past lovers.

i don't typically become involved with people who i don't already consider a friend. my significant other is usually my best friend. the way i see it, if i don't still value that person's friendship, then why the hell were we together in the first place?

there are exceptions, of course. sometimes it's just not possible.

 

Well If it was someone I truly loved i try to break up and stay on good terms.

I don't necessarily talk to them often but every once and a while I'll give them a call see how their doing.

I love it because all these women still love me and i still love them so when we meet up its like the connection is still there completely.

My friend and I made a funny analogy for all you pokemon or ex pokemon players out there.
In gold and silver there was a phone you could use to call up old trainers you have battled and battle them again and see how they have changed too.
Now OUR version of "trainer eyes" is we keep in touch with old loved ones so we can reconnect and see how they have grown as a person


Now Polyamorism is the best, but I'm not going to get into that. and MANY girls can get quite jealous... haha
