I've heard that the California poppy can be smoked, and give a mild opiate buzz. Dose anyone know if this is true?

many poppies bleed latex, not all them are narcotic.. but many of them have the opium flavor. Its the opium flavor thats relaxing.. you could grow narcotic poppies in many places , bur once you slit 100's them for opium youre asking for trouble if people can see them.
