Not Busted, and I never want to be... Advice?

Here's what ya need to know-

Currently I am in college and I am tired of spending money on a plant I am completely capable of harvesting myself. That being said, I have made plans to move into my grandma's house once I'm done with school (in 3 years). Once I move there I'll start restoring her house and I plan on adding my own little "touch". I want to make a small grow room in the basement just for personal smokee, I'm not trying to sell.

Anyway, last night I was with some friend and I mentioned my idea to them. Rookie mistake because they told me that the number 1 rule with growing is to not tell anyone, anything, ever. I've been buggin all day because before I can even do it I already have 6 people who know that I wanna grow for myself.

How big of a problem is it that 6 people know I want to grow a personal stash sometime in the future? They're all in college and I've known them all for years and I basically trust all of them so I'm not too worried, but it's still eating at me that there are already people that know I wanna do it. I smoke some nice Kush last night and it completely ruined my high

I doubt that any of them will say anything to anyone - especially if they are smokers - but it is obviously a bigger risk if you still go ahead and do it now.

 

Stop telling people now for sure. If every one of those 6 people told 6 people, you'd be up to 36. And then multiply that by six and so forth and you've got a huge problem. Just let it go and keep it a secret from here on out, if the people who already know ask anymore about it just laugh and tell them it was just a silly idea. All it takes is one person tipping the cops off and you're busted. Been there, done that, only problem was that there was no grow operation here, only a tiny bud and some paraphernalia. You don't want them tearing your house apart, trust me, it completely destroys any sense of privacy or safety you ever had and your life will change forever. So tip #1 remains keep it on the downlow.

 

Yeah, I plan on bringing it up in a few months and being like- " remember that idea? yeah eff that."

Also, by the time I would be doing it I don't know how many of them I'd still be talking to if that matters...

 

good idea. better yet, let them forget about it and if they happen to ask you how it's going tell them you didn't go ahead with it

 

Wait till summer and plant outside. Plant in a corn field, the heat signature is similar to weed and is harder to detect via copter. Pick a field with a point you can view from a distance. Get your plants about 14" high when the corn is planted and growing to about 10" pluck about 3 corn plants out in the middle of the field and plant your shit. Don't plant more than 3 in the same field. This method has several advantages. 1) it is outside so no electrical blueprint 2) you have cover to go check on the plant when necessary 3) corn field is already fertilized and sometimes irrigated. You will get much better results indoor but the risks in my opinion are higher.

 

I don't have the opportunity to do any cultivation or a least 3 or 4 years sadly. But when I do I'm going to build a semi-hidden room with only 4 plants in each stage. The room will have full venting system with a filter and obviously my lights wont be that strong. How sketch is that?

Yeah no one in 3 years is going to remember how you said you'd like to grow weed one day. Every stoner has talked about plans to grow weed at one point in their life.
