For those who celebrate. Tonight will be the last time the tree is lit for this holiday season. I will miss the pretty lights being on at night.
I'm kind of sad I never even plugged my tree in this year. I never took it down last year...but I might soon. It's just one of those teeny little 3 foot trees, so I'll likely just put a garbage bag on it as is and put it away in the extra room. Oh sigh, poor little tree.
I could get a real tree if I went and cut down the neighbors'. They have plenty, they wouldn't miss it...
Christmas is an enjoyable period for everyone. I don't follow any religion but my family celebrate xmas so I do too.
Tomorrow is actually Christmas in eastern orthodox churches, so there's actually one more day to light the tree!
that is lucky! I would have to travel to cut one down. and It is illegal to do so, in most places I could afford, LIke the woodS! lol
My heritage is Ukrainian and we always celebrated two Christmas' when I was young. Now that my grandparents and parents are dead, we no longer do the fancy meals and exchange gifts on Ukrainian Christmas. But I still keep the tree up and lit until after it passes.
the tree came down on the 2nd. The outside light the next day. I still have to cut up the tree some so the recycle people will pick it up
well i think little christmas celebrates that too... unless it's just the day she was released from the hospital.
They had medics in the stable? It is Epiphany for some, so yes, it is celebrated as well. My family has always celebrated little Christmas, it is the end of the season for us. The kids have a little parcel hidden in the tree and after they find it the tree comes down. I am going to miss the pretty lights.
