Never doing lorazepam again

Holy fuck, that shit is messed up. Never again.

I drank like a beer and had a shot about an hour before I took them. And had another beer while on it.

I was on 2 mg's. I gave some to my friends too. We were all fucked up, they drank more than I did (I told them not to but they don't listen) and were stumbling around being completely retarded. I was just sitting there holding on to the chair for dear life. I've never felt that wobbly ever.

We go to jam and I sit behind the drums and I was like "no... This ain't happening".. I didn't even know what to do behind there... I know what to do but my body wouldn't do it. I remember trying to do a tom-roll and dropped a stick and it went flying and we all laughed.

We didn't even jam... That shit is not for instruments. So we all left and I went home. I was stumbling through my house feeling all fucked. I really never felt like this before, it was messed up.

Now that I'm awake I feel a lot better... But last night was terrible. I shouldn't even have took them because I had 2 drinks and then another.

I'm gonna hide the pill bottle again so I never fucking wanna do it.

The thing that makes me confused is that it was only 3 drinks (maybe 4 because one shot I took was huge). Still maybe that's enough to do it with the pills.

Weird shit.... I'll stick to weed.

Holy shit I forgot to mention the biggest part: While I was walking home by myself I was thinking the weirdest shit... I was thinking like one thought after another.. I would play the thought out in my head and then move on to the next one.. I can't explain it.. But I really didn't like that very much.

 

It's an additive effect when you mix alcohol and benzodiazepines since they both affect the GABA receptors in your brain. Lorazepam when mixed with booze will make you appear very hammered, aka stumbling and slurring, but you don't FEEL as if you are that fucked up since you don't get the usual alcohol nausea like you would if you had achieved those effects purely from drinking.

Benzos make you feel like you're moving in slow motion, definitely not a good thing for your hand-eye coordination. Surprisingly, I'm still able to think clearly and utilize my problem solving skills even whilst royally fucked on xanax, which makes you feel a LOT heavier than lorazepam.

 

Hahah sounds about right. It's only weed, booze, and psychs for me, I am not a fan of benzos.

Why, if he uses it like it is supposed to be used it is beneficial medicine, so what if he tried it once recreationally? And why down the toilet, couldn't he just toss them in the trash?

Sounds like you just took them in the wrong setting Ian, as if you weren't trying to jam a stumbling drunk feeling without any of the puking or nausea is pretty awesome

 

you should never take alcohol with benzos, thats why you got fucked up

 

hiding them is not going to do anything. he will get tempted to take them again and probe will in they end

 

Don't worry, I'd never take them again after that.. I did them one time before this and I didn't like them... I didn't get so fucked up last time, I just didn't think it was worth doing.

I'll keep 'em and if I ever have an anxiety attack I'll take the proper dose lol.

Please don't flush drugs.. there are better ways to get rid of prescription substances -> give them back to a pharmacy for safe disposal. Maybe you don't realize that what you flush down the toilet ends up in water which is then distributed back into nature, or back into the municipal water system.. not good for the environment, nor individuals drinking water and getting un-necessary additives.


As for benzos.. I had one black-out experience with benzos a while ago.. had something like 3mg of Sustained Release xanax, and 50mg of valium. That was when I signed off of benzos. I can't remember most of that night, and even though I was apparently at my neighbour's house for hours it felt like a couple of minutes. I smoked a lot of weed that night too.. apparently my friend and I were stumbling across the street and back again, yet not falling down.

(Of course you CAN be responsible with benzos, I just didn't think they were right for me.)
