    Hi All,

Ive had me dreads in for nearly 2 years i guess.. I let them grow naturally, so theres no start time..

The problem im having now, is that since im a dirtbag rock climber, my hair is getting clogged up with crap.

The locks seem to have acted as a greasy coffee filter and just trapped all that crap that i come across.

Is there any way i can clean my locks without them suffering?

I am realy thinking about cutting them off :/

    Hope someone can help

Well what do you usually use when you wash them? Don't cut them off!

I did a ACV rinse, but being the sort of person who doesn't give a fuck about the correct way of doing things, I poured it on my head neat and left it for 5 minutes, that stripped the living fuck out of everything involved so maybe that.

I wonder how much climbing chalk ends up in my dreads while I'm climbing.

    I guess it creates friction!

If they're really dirty, I've heard dish soap will help.... Not sure if they where being serious or not, but either way, it seems like it'd cut any and all grease and most other crap in em. Give em a good loooong soak, and try different cleaning methods, they'll all take out different things.

Or you could shave em and start over.

    Pictures?
