Dr Broners is the default answer
Or just any old shit, it doesn't make a huge difference.

You can get Dr B's pretty widely in the US it would seem, as for the UK I only know of 1 health food store that stocks it so you may want to order online.

Scrambled eggs mixed with a lil cottage cheese. You can add pepper if you really fancy that sort of thing. And only wash with this concoction on the first Thursday of every month. Every other day wash with water and baking soda.

I used to use Dr. Bronner's but it doesn't mix well with the hard water in my house. If you have soft water you should be fine, but with hard water it left residue in my hair...sort of a waxy film. On my last set, I had some of it in my dreads, too...I just use baking soda and a few drops of essential oils, some salt water from time to time as well...works for me and is cheap.

I just use whatever is in the house but it depends on what's in the shampoo. Stay away from pantene...or obviously anything that sais smooth and silky. Do you remember of using any shampoo when you didn't have dreads that left your hair kind of knotty so you had to use conditioner? That works. Dr.Bronners I hear is great, so i'm looking into getting some at the end of the week ordering it online.

put some baking soda in a water bottle using a funnel (you can make one out of paper if you need to), add water, cap it, give it a shake... take it in the shower with you, get your head a little wet (or don't, whatever), then pour the baking soda water on your hairz and scalpz/rub it all around, rinse well, voila!

I normally get a bucket or tub and fill that with warm water and put about 3 tablespoons and mix it around, then go and soak my hair in there for 5 mins or so giving my head a good scrub. Then rinse it out after. I had some some from DHHQ that I bought at the start so I normally just alternate between the two

I like using bar soap sometimes. You get that squeaky clean feeling and it keeps the oils out
