My daughter will be graduating from high school in 2012, and once I have her comfortably settled in at the college of her choice, I'm hitting the road. Will be leaving from the Rochester area of upstate NY.

My plans are wide open, Not sure if I'll be gone one month or one year. Guess I'll just drive until I'm tired of driving. Have passport in hand, so Canadian travel is a possibility as well. Please have a passport as well just in case.

Would love to see everything out west, as well as Alaska, then double-back and see parts of the east coast (particularly Maine) that I've always wanted to visit. I own a home near Shelby, NC so an extended stay there is always possible as well as a roommate situation, if interested.

Looking for someone in the 35-60 age range. I'm 41, female. Married, but...we'll see after this trip. LOL! Sarcastic, smart-ass sense of humor, but a gentle soul who loves to laugh and enjoys the simple pleasures in life. Looking for only one other passenger; male/female--doesn't matter. Interests include horseback riding, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, flea markets/auctions, Ebaying, etc., and open to trying new things.

Please be a non-smoker (the kind herb is okay--just don't be continually stoned. Everything has its time and place) and a relatively light drinker. A beer or two and I'm good. I may be traveling with a dog, so if you're allergic this probably isn't the best situation for you. Please DO NOT have a criminal record or be homeless/transient/hitch hiker. Ideally, I'd like to get to know someone through emails, phone calls and an eventual meeting to see if we're compatible. No religious freaks or cultists, please. Ideally I'm looking for someone with a similar sense of humor who is easy to talk to who doesn't give off the "creeper" vibe. A "morning" person would be my ideal match for this trip.

I plan on doing a lot of camping, so if you're used to the comfy-camping only an RV can supply, we're not a good match. The idea to to leave behind the comforts of home and embrace our nomadic roots.

Please be able to drive a stick shift.

If this sounds like something you'd be up for, please get in contact with me. You will need your own money for this trip, and we'll take turns filling the gas tank. No free rides in life.

    Peace out!
