Ok, so i've been having a lot of trouble focusing and sitting still lately. My mind can't stay on one subject, and i'm constantly tapping my feet or biting my nails. It's a real problem, so you don't need to sit here and lecture me about how adhd isn't real. i talked to my psychiatrist about this and i have an appt. in a few days to get some medication for it. problem is, i don't want to get some bullshit med like strattera, but my psych. knows i like to do drugs and such so i'm afraid he won't prescribe me concerta/adderall or generics of them. i plan on telling him that strattera is way too expensive for me, being that theres no generic. do you think he will prescribe me either adderall or concerta when he knows about my past substance use? any help is greatly appreciated.
Well, it depends what you used. Adderall is an amphetamine and concerta is an extended-release form of ritalin. Strattera is atemoxetine, and I don't have a clue what that is. I take concerta myself.
i used a lot of different drugs in the past. marijuana, heroin, coke, psychs, the whole gambit. except meth.
Yeah odds are youl get ADD-eral. I doubt you will get anything else, but you can always say "upon researching i came across... Bla bla bla.. And think it would be better for me..."
That is why I lie to my psychiatrist, even though it is blatantly immoral. I go to my Suboxone doctor in a different state and signed papers to prohibit any communication between them. But, hey, I get Adderall and Klonopin out of it.
