Hey everyone im new to the site and this is my first thread so hello Im afraid to just jump straight in to third eye meditation and trying to seperate my astral body from my physical body. i have heard you have to be very experianced to do this. Does anyone know what i can do to gain experiance? should i focus on one chakra at a time? Any kind of advice or type of yoga or maybe some kind of plan would be good help
Hello earths child7 welcome to the fold. Ah- -As far as I am now is only with meditation I think I need to expand my horizons too. I'll bet you yoga would really help. Have you tried meditation?
I had weird astral dreams last night, I dreamt that I could propel myself into the air and fly around using my hands. I flew out of the window of my house and started flying around, although the outside of my house looked different. I saw an old man in a garden and I swooped down and said hello, but he just looked up at me and then carried on gardening. When I woke up my hands were glowing with energy.
i have tried both. well i do both but i heard you have to be very experianced to astral travel so i figured i would have to do more than just yoga and meditation. atleast more in depth. and wow that dream sounds super amazing. i have only had one cool experance with meditation and it felt like energy was just shooting into my crown and down my spine. it was beautiful
Here's an article I wrote on my blog about astral projection. Maybe it will offer you something. astral projection
That's quite a profound experience. I've had the blissful feeling, but as far as projection, that's something I can't speak of. I always thought it would be cool, but then again, it would detract from my purpose for meditation. I have enough trouble keeping my mind quiet to be bombarded by new fun distracting experiences hahaha. dwaparaKid
I just kind of zazen meditate for a while and try to focus on a take-off. I feel it a lot. Sometimes I almost puke I've only accomplished full astral three times and they were completely different experiences each time. I did two of them in a different way where I meditated and channelled all of my energy to my third eye seeing as I wanted to see the future which was the first time and the second time I wanted to speak to a dead person. After channelling all of the energy I meditated on what I wanted to see and do for at least ten minutes and then went to sleep. After the visions I woke up and remembered it all clearly
Hi there! My experience with astral projection was a bit different from yours, so I thougt it would be good to add a different perspective. I began astral traveling before I learned how to meditate. The reason why I started is because I felt that was the right moment. I've had lots of conscious dreams before that turning point, and in those dreams I met my higher self amongst other beings of light, who guided me. It was a bit strange for me, when I first woke up with a voice calling my True name. And since that day the dreams became more intense. But I was a bit skeptical, thinking the dreams couldn't be real and were only due to my imagination. So I began to travel the path of trust in Myself, and in my "intuition". And there was a moment when I felt I was ready to try astral projections, a long after I was familiar to the concept. In my first travel, I saw my higher self, and I asked her name, to confirm my dream. And the name I "heard" was different from the one I've heard before. Adding to the fact that I couldn't see clearly in my projection, that strengthened my doubts. But then I went home, and googled that name that was given to me in my projection, and I realized that that being (my Higher self) is known by the two names. Then I cried. Then I started to trust in Me with all my Heart. And then I learned that I know all the answers to my questions, I just have to ask them in the right time. And the right time is when you feel you're ready to know the answer. And you feel this through your heart. So my message to you is: Just listen to yourself, to your feelings, your intuitions, your conscious dreams. And use always your heart (your inner compass) to check if the truth that is given to you by someone else is consistent with Your Truth. You will learn everything when you're ready to give that step, so trust yourself and the universe around you, because if you're receptive to see the signs, you will feel and know when the right moments are. :seeya: Have a GREAT week
i've had some random and very uncontrollable astral projections and waking dreams before. meditation is key - i;m not very trained in meditation at all as i rarely do it, but i've definitely reached states before that were pretty exhilarating. there really isn't anything to be afraid of though.
I have no idea if anyone will see this since the last post was November... anyways! Have you tried Yoga Nidra? That's my favorite way to sperate my 2 bodies, its absolutely surreal. Your physical bosy is paralyzed, while your senses and spirituality are heightened. I like yoga nidra also because its guided by a seasoned yogi or yogini, which I prefer to self astral travel. Hope this helps!
Separation of 'etheric' body is what results in a vision of a double. For techniques about this the best reside in the Golden Dawn even still. One should be aquainted with the various ritual methods to purify, banish, attract the ideal, and to understand what level and where you are at. Otherwise you're just an etheric tourist and you can end up in the projects getting mugged. Astral travel is the same thing as dreaming, though usually it is likened to hypnosis or relaxation techniques. In this the occult knowedge of the Golden Dawn is also valuable unless you feel like making a wrong turn and ending up in the projects. Also, the Builders of the Atydum: BOTA http://www.bota.org are probably the very best place still left to learn the best of Western Occultism. It's highly unlikely you will ever meet and learn the ways of the Golden Dawn. The head that I knew has most likely passed on. She was a professional pianist in Los Angeles. The Bird's Nest in Hollywood Hills has been sold and afaik no new temple had arisen. I am attempting to contact the actual head of the GD to see if she (the pianist) is still alive since I met her a long time ago - she was Israel regardie's secretary. If this isn't appealing to you then you have no calling to travel in the etheric. But all people travel already in the astral during dream sleep. Before I go out of my way to find you something worth your while, tell me what you hope to gain from this experience.
