or the chinese guy who sold it to me.. I went into the shop to get a Blackberry and he turned me on to this INQ phone, said it was faster, good for music and all that.. I need a memory card installed to be able to download music, and lately everytime I spend 10 minutes writting a reply to a thread, and it brings me to a white screen and then I hit back and it takes me to the forums main page, and I cant copy past on this thing, I want to killlllllll. i have no money for a new one either.... In fact I tried to write this yesterday and it happened!!!!!!!!!!!!! why did that dude have to sell me the shitty phone I doubt he gets commission or anything from INQ he was just a cell phone store geek.

Go back to the store and break your phone on his face!

Or just return the phone and get a different one, your call.

I picked up a nokia c3 for $59 and its driving me insane because my old one could be programmed to turn itself on and off at certain times...but the wifi makes up for it I guess

go back and trade it or something...theyll usually be accommodating if the phone still looks new with no scratches and all packaging

[IMG] MAJOR Problems with the INQ Phone!!!

[IMG]Hi, I am having all of the following problems with my INQ phone, and I am wondering if anyone else has the same problems. It's a long posting, though!

    1. When is the promised firmware/software update due? No one seems to know.

    2. Poor battery life. I have to carry another handset with me when I go out, as the phone may not hold a charge while I'm away from home. Spare batteries are not available, either from 3 shops or from 3's own spares department.

    3. The 3g chipset has problems maintaining a 3g signal. It either gets a full signal or nothing at all, causing the handset to drop calls. Why is a 2.5g option not available in weaker signal areas? I may not be able to use the internet on that setting, but at least I'll be able to do the basics, such as calls and texts.

    4. Skype issues: The phone gives false status readings: for example, it will say that someone is logged into Skype when they are not, or vice versa. This means I can send someone a message, believing them to be online when they aren't. So the message doesn't reach them. Messages can be slow to reach the recipient. This can vary from a few minutes (which is acceptable) to many hours (which is unacceptable). Sometimes Skype messages don't reach the intended recipient at all. Skype can drop Skype to Skype calls, with no audible warning, so I end up talking to myself, thinking I'm having a conversation with the other person.

    5. WLM (Windows Live Messenger) issues: It keeps resetting itself back to the front screen, making the the phone almost unusable. It gives false status readings, the same as the Skype application (see above). It doesn't seem to like @msn addresses. The version of WLM isn't as good as the versions offered on other handsets; i.e. I can't send files. My own contact pic can't be changed, other than using standard MSN pics; i.e. I can't change my contact pic to how it appears on the computer version. If I switch off the phone and switch it on again, or log off WLM, the pic always defaults back to the flower, even if I select the football, for example, as my contact pic. If I log out of WLM, it can be very difficult to log back in again, as I experience "timeouts" and "technical difficulties" messages, which can take ages to resolve. The only way to resolve these problems is to re-boot the phone. The new version of WLM should be available to download for the INQ handset, as it is for earlier handsets.

    6. Facebook issues: Whenever I get a friend request, I get an email alert telling me this, but it doesn't show up in Facebook itself. Other requests, such as group invitations, etc, don't show up as email notificatations. If Facebook doesn't sign in, it stops the rest of the phone functions from working. Why can't Facebook messenger be available on the handset, as it is on the computer, to directly chat to people on Facebook?

    7. The push email can stop working. I sent my first INQ phone back as the push email icon wouldn't work. I don't find the information that gets "pushed" very useful. I get hyperlinks, instead of the actual email, but I can't read, or act on, the content. For example, I can't link to anything, download the attachment, where there is one, or directly take any action with an email, without going into the external email box. I use Operamini as my preferred browser.

    8. If a phone is bought in a 3 store, but the sale is done over the phone, using the in-store telephone system, it is classed as an over the phone sale. This means if a phone needs to be returned due to a fault, it can only be done by doorstep collection, not by returning it to a store. This can be inconvenient for people who work or who are out all day. Customers should be able to return the handset to the store where the receipt was issued for a repair/replacement.

    9. When the phone is turned over on its side, can the automatic portrait/landscape re-orientation be switched off, so it is an option, rather than being the only choice?

    10. The clock widget. Why are the only options available for the UK those of London and Edinburgh, with London being fixed and unchangeable? Why can't I choose the town of my choice? The times would be the same, as we only have one time zone, but it would make the phone more personal to me.

    11. Why can't I remove demo games and apps? They take up space in the handset that could be used for other things, such as full games, pics, music, etc.

    12. Applications on start-up: Can the phone be configured so that I can decide in advance what applications run on startup and what doesn't? For example, if I only want to talk or text when I switch on, I don't want the phone to spend time logging into Skype, logging into Facebook, logging into WLM, then waiting for the phonebook to start up before I make my call. I want to have an option to disable applications on start-up and run them at a time to suit me.

I have tried emailing all of this to 3, but their email system has been out of action for around 3 weeks now, so I can't pass this information on.
