Now this is the kind of U.S. invasion I like to see happen!

Source: U.S. eases restrictions on travel to Cuba

    RCA diplomacy

Looking back, the U.S. could've saved decades of dissing & acrimony way back in the '50's, by pulling a couple hundred ships into Havana & dropping off loads of radios, TV's, washing machines, etc., instead of running around in circles screaming & shouting about the Commie menace. Heck, Cuba might even be a state by now!

Cuba treats there people horribly and I believe that it's a horrible form of government, But the United States really needs to stay out of other countries business. I feel like the US tries to push all of it's beliefs on everyone else.

You didn't read anything past the title

  5. I think that initially it's only going to be students and religious peeps(?) that are going to be allowed to apply for a visa. Are the powers that be intent on winning over Raul Castro with education and God speak. What a bunch of shite! ;)

NO, US needs to stay out of it. Whether you like it or not, it's all about control and we're capitalist pigs and it won't change a damn thing if we go in there.

I'm sure what they mean is that this will be the US' sly way of trying to influence the Cuban people into adopting their ways.

That's exactly what this looks like.

Or it could be a lot of Americans, especially the vast Cuban population we have have wanted this for years.

Not to mention a goodwill gesture toward Raul Castro for implementing some small reforms(look at that, Cuba is being more like the US all on its own)

    fidel is a marrano.
a loyal adherent to the international banker policies.
no way could he have kept his island otherwise.
hitler, stalin, lennin, trotsky, roosevelt, eisenhower, many underneath them (rahm for example today)

They don't like to put others as their front-men.

    Baruch included (OBAMA).

Just thought I'd point that out in case there were some souls under egregora delusionary spell.

This is true, but you should have read the post, at least, if not the article the OP linked....

I personally think it's cowardly and half-assed to not really repeal the restrictions... To me this ALMOST looks like a setup to find commie sympathizers :p

Because we supported the evil puppet governments that did out bidding there. That's why cuba is the way it is today, because we pushed it to communism with our corruption, and then isolated the communists in punishment for taking down our corrupt puppets.

How the Cubans handle Cuban issues in Cuba is completely up to the Cubans. It's none of our business.

Ah but you see, until 1959, Cuba WAS a US business, literally. It was a cash register they could pull money from every day. They didn't like having their cash register taken away. Hence all the animosity towards Cuba for 60 years.
