same here.. once in a home depot a worker told me to be careful cause i didn't have on shoes.. i just smiled and said .. "i always am"

carpet! ugh... tis one of my less favorite surfaces to be barefoot on.. sometimes it just feels horribly uncomfortable.. not sure why.

This commercial continuously confused me with that statement.

How can you be at HOME, if you cant take off your shoes?.

I dont want to stand in my new shower unit with my shoes on..

I have carpet and like the cushion that it has over tile or stone and warmth during our winters (se texas lows in the 30's) but it does really suck to have to vacuum weekly.

when it comes time to replace the carpet I may have the carpet replaced with stone/slate

I agree, I hate carpet. I prefer wood floors, which I have, or slate/stone.
Carpet is also unhealthy, dustmites etc.

I'd be more worried about ending up with a piece of hardware in my foot rather than catching crap from an employee.

Sorry Boogs But GLEN Begs To Differ, When I Built My House 26 Years Ago

I Laid Carpet In EVERY ROOM...:).

Berber In The Dining, Lounge, Hallways, And Bedrooms.

Glued Down Rubber Backed Kitchen Carpet In The Kitchen And Laundry.

And Loose Laid Waterproof Carpet In The Loo And Bathroom.

All These Years Later I Still Love The Feel Of It......The Only Exception

Being If I Spend Too Much Time Walking Around On It My Soles Become

"Polished", Making Even The Rough Surface Of Berber Slippery, But A Quick

Walk Outside On A Gravel Surface Soon Fixes That...:2thumbsup:

    Cheers Glen.

i guess that about our taste or lack of- for rugs and carpets much depends on the temperature of the respective homes :freezing:

Carpet is fine, especially in the winter. Tile is so much nicer in the summer though. The only time carpet really bothered me was the time I did underestimated the temperature of the pavement and burned my feet, carpet felt like walking on broken glass for some reason.
